RE: Lines in the Sand (C-USA)- Week 1
Thursday, September 3
FIU @ UCF : FIU is still a year away at best IMO
Western Kentucky @ Vanderbilt: It's Vandy but who could complain with an SEC win in week one for CUSA?
UTSA @ Arizona: Just... nope. That -31.5 spread is a bit much though.
Friday, September 4
Charlotte @ Georgia State: Arbuckle will shred Charlotte's D
Saturday, September 5
Old Dominion @ Eastern Michigan: Might be a down year for ODU but EMU blows
Wagner @ Rice: Yawn
FAU @ Tulsa: Quality OOC win on the road here
UTEP @ Arkansas: If Arkansas has more than one turnover UTEP might take it
Southern @ LaTech: Folks will over react to a 300 yard passing performance from Driskel
Jackson State @ Middle Tennessee: RIP in peace
Mississippi State @ Southern Miss: I'm drinking the transfer kool aid, man. Going to be USM's best crowd in ages. This is going to be fun.
Sunday, September 6
Purdue @ Marshall: Good test for Birdsong

Salty because they picked you to lose?
That is some pretty terrible logic.

No, pure experience of being picked to upset in a close game and then failing miserably. With that said it's Vandy. So if you lose, you'll be the laughingstock of Kentucky and Tennessee. So don't lose. Actually, yeah, lose.

Actually, I'll be pulling for you guys but will typically expect the SEC team to win over a CUSA team. If this game was played in week 12 last year, I'd pick Western but it's a new season.

All from the head ..no heart ..I think the Toppers are juggernaut bound and will show some of that the first game...WKU by 14. Vandy is not as good as the ending Vols score or as bad as the Temple debacle but somewhere in between. Doughty, Allen and co just too much for the Vandy D.

There has been 11 entries posted by MT and Marshall fans, 7 picked WKU to win and 4 picked Vandy and only 1 Vandy pick from Marshall out of 6, 3 out 5 from MT.
64% have picked WKU to win and you talk about comedy and saltiness.

Have fun, folks!
I really don't feel that WKU will beat Vandy, but I hope they do to make week 2 more interesting.

Kind of surprised by the number of Purdue over Herd picks.
The best bet of the entire weekend in all of college football is WKU getting 1.5 at Vandy in my opinion. There is absolutely no way WKU should be a dog.

I'm with Beed on this. We will "pull a Western" in this game!

I've seen way to many big conferences schools win games they shouldn't at home on shady calls to feel comfortable betting against the SEC school at home.

Purdue isn't in the SEC, and the game is being played at Marshall.
I am not surprised by some of the picks against Marshall. The reasoning is obvious. Some posters for on this board are more green than the most diehard Herd fan!

RE: Lines in the Sand (C-USA)- Week 1
Thursday, September 3
FIU @ UCF 10-14. FIU is a strong defensive team but are suspect on the offense. The game will be close but UCF will pull it out.
Western Kentucky @ Vanderbilt 38-24. Vandy won't keep up.
UTSA @ Arizona 7-48. UTSA lose most of their best players and Arizona is just too big and strong.
Friday, September 4
Charlotte @ Georgia State 14-17. Home team wins a close one.
Saturday, September 5
Old Dominion @ Eastern Michigan 24-23. EMU keep it close.
Wagner @ Rice 3-38. Should not be close.
FAU @ Tulsa 38-27. FAU will remind Tulsa why the Owls hung 51 on them last year.
UTEP @ Arkansas 10-38. Arkansas are better, bigger, and homeward bound.
Southern @ LaTech 0-33. The teams are from different levels of college football. Different outcome should not be expected.
Jackson State @ Middle Tennessee 3-51. See above.
Mississippi State @ Southern Miss 45-10. Home cooking will not help USM
Sunday, September 6
Purdue @ Marshall 23-27. Marshall wins a close one. Purdue covers.
