Tech fans I know you guys have a cupcake game this weekend but some of us do have a real opponent Week 1, lets wait until after this week to talk trash about WKU and discuss La Tech game.....Although since we are talking about 2014 still, please do CUSA a favor and do not treat your Week 1 opponent like you did Northwestern Technical college last season, thanks..

George Fant is at least 3rd string Tight End right now, he is not listed on the 2 deep...I think by mid season and on he will at least be contributing down in the red zone for us, its going to take him some time considering he has not played football since 8th grade...

Worry about your game and we will worry about ours.

After watching both teams in week one I say Tech wins...38-17. WKUs offense was far from impressive against Vandy but I still have some reservations about Techs D. Techs Offense looked very impressive against Southern but WKUs Defense looks to be improved over last year.

It's hard to say, we all know you can't take much away from a FCS game and the injuries WKU had on offense really showed. It's not going to be a easy game for either team and I believe either team could be the winner on any given night

I agree, I would not read too much in from either teams first game. There is a quite a difference from playing SEC team on the road, albeit a lower rung one for 2015, and a SWAC team at home. I will say this if the receivers drop as many of Brandon's passes as they did against Vandy and they allow themselves to get in a deep hole it will be hard to overcome. I don't think the Bulldog offense will be as inept as Vandy's was at times. I don't know what to expect but I don't see the Toppers putting up just 14 points but did not expect that against Vandy either. You would think it will be back and forth and a close game something like 42-35 but seems like everytime I put a score out there it ends up totally different. I guess I will just have to wait and see. Hope to be there in person though.

As a Herd fan, I'm torn who to root for...

Do I root for a WKU victory to improve the chance that the Herd would host a title game... Or
Do I root for a LaTech victory to improve the chance that the Herd would win the East?

I think an eastern school would want Tech to win, and be undefeated in the CCG. Personally, I want Marshall to go undefeated until the champ game.

Looking at the stats from your game, Southern had around 200 yds passing and 100yds rushing. Was the majority of this given up by your 2s and 3s? Also noticed their 1st score was on a 100 kickoff return. A mental breakdown?

They got 30 or 40 yds the first drive, the rest was late.

Their kick returner is the real deal. Our coverage was weak too. SpecIal teams are our Achilles heel.

We pulled our starters with about 6 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. It was 52-8 at that point already.
Southern returner is good - it was a legit return.

Their kick returner is the real deal. Looked a lot like former Tech returner Philip Livas.

Looking at the WKU/ Vandy stats, Vandy completely dominated WKU. But Vandy left 21 easy points on the field so WKU won.

Let's see, we had our best receiver drop a TD in the end zone; had our second best receiver drop one wide open in the flat when he had nothing but green in front of him... 2 can play that game!! 07-coffee3

Did you even watch the Tech game? You want to bring up stats with our 2/3rd string go look at the WKU/Vandy stats. Vandy completely dominated WKU on the stat sheet. That was a ugly game both ways and WKU was very lucky to win. Yes I watched the whole WKU game

Starters played the whole game but got tired and Southern improved a lot in the 2nd half

That's okay I was just joking anyway and the way I see it WKU has 2 big advantages in this game 1) they played a real game already 2) at home

Should be a fun game to watch 04-cheers
