Any word on Phillip Nelson's eligibility?

Well.. this sucks.
Prayers to Kurt and his family. I know how hard he's worked and how patient he's been waiting behind Shane.

Man, that stinks, with Cody Keith always being injured we just got very thin at the QB position. What about James Summer's? Did he ever make in?

I'm kinda interested to see just what the deal is with Keith, but I hate knowing we are either looking at him competing for the starting job or a backup job with his injury history.

What kind of confidence is there in Blake Kemp vs Kurt Benkert? I know some ecu fans on here were pretty high on Benkert's ability to take hold of the offense and thrive in it this year.

I think Kemp can move the chains, but his arm isn't nearly as strong. Think we just lost our big play capability.

Not sure they are really comparable. Would imagine the offense would be called much differently with Kemp in as opposed to Benkert. Would much rather see Cody Keith get his shot over Kemp, no offense to him, been in our system much longer and throws a much, MUCH better ball. Keith supposedly has the best arm on the team but he always seems to be injured. And obviously throwing a better ball and having better mechanics does not always equate to a better QB.
Should be interesting....

My concern about Benkert were mental, my concerns about Kemp are physical. I don't know if Kemp is talented enough to be an FBS QB.

With Benkert having a cannon for an arm and a set of legs, I liked our chances of winning 8 games. With Kemp I will be thrilled if we win 6 and go Bowling. I would prefer for Cody Keith to get healthy and play just because he has a lot of years with this offense under his belt. Kemp could shock me which would be awesome but with just one year of practice I would think we would give him a limited playbook. Insiders would have to give you an intellilgent assesement. If somebody post from HTC on here I imagine Stephen Igoe knows more about Kemp than anybody who post based on how much he has seen him play. I would definitely be curious as to what he thinks

Davis did just fine with limited exposure to the offense, so Kemp's ability doesn't worry me so much if the coaches feel he has the skills. It's the mental side that I worry about with a last second replacement.

Florida, Navy, and VT just became large uphill battles to start the year.

Hate to break it to you but Florida and VT were already uphill battles for you this year.

Nah, we pretty much have VT handled.
Florida, I agree with.
By the way, I in no way understand the arrogance coming out of Temple this year. Wow. You'd better live up to the hype.
