I wasn't going to say anything about western in this thread until the two of you made those comments. If I misread what you "meant" I would certainly like unbiased observers to weigh in what how they perceived it. If I was wrong I will own up to it.

You are so consumed with anything Western that you make up stuff in that little brain of yours. I honestly find it troubling that you spend more time talking about Western than your own school.

Below are the 2 post that got you so upset. You can say other wise but your post tell the real tell.

(08-19-2015 12:40 PM)WKUYG Wrote:  0.017 there's 113 on Westerns roster this year *5 = 565 football players

That's the % of Western's football players arrested over 5 years. I wonder how that compares to the overall college numbers?

(08-19-2015 12:57 PM)WKUApollo Wrote:  I always laugh a little when I see this type of data. Number of arrests do not necessarily equal convictions and/or guilt nor do number of arrests necessarily equal actual crimes committed. As we all know, there are some communities where enforcement of the law is more stringent and in other communities, the authorities are more lenient....i.e....they turn a blind eye to it.

Neither one was making any excuse about Western or anyone of the players arrested ....

it was two freaking comments on two different points of view showing how this whole thing is blown out of portion. And how some places view "crime"..crime as in PI and other minor things. Some places (mostly smaller) it's a big deal. Some place like Miami PI isn't going to get you arrested.

I was pointing out that I bet the average arrest rate of students is probably higher in all of college. Not just Western. Of course I based it off Western's numbers because...I HAVE THOSE NUMBERS

WKUAPOLLO can speak for himself as he has. But NO WHERE and I repeat NO WHERE in his post is the word Western. To me he was talking (as I was) in generic terms of ALL OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL HOMETOWNS.

Now you never answered my question...

so you think stealing is OK? at least 4 muts players did this and 4 played after getting charged or convicted. The abuser who loves choking his girlfriend was on probation for stealing at the time he was choking her

So you think punching or choking someone is OK? at least 3 muts players did this

yet you are comparing it to a PI

Since you have a pc why don't you list these players and the charges and the dates ...as I did with muts players. Then your answer will be given.

Do you even realize how naive you sound. You represent Western as a fan/alum. You both commented in a way as to attempt to undermine the report - i.e. the facts - in which Western isn't put in the best light. But ok you're just commenting as an unbiased concerned citizen. Right.

In each one of those instances you mentioned those players were dismissed. That is the bottom line no matter how much spin you try to put on it. And stop trying to pass stuff off as truth that didn't happen. One player - not three - was arrested for choking his girlfriend. The other two were also dismissed because they didn't aid or report it. In other instances the info came to light at the same time. Yet, I'm the one trying to make stuff up. Wow. Really?

But most importantly, I haven't said anything that attempts to downplay what has happened. If anything we as MT alums have taken ownership for it even though we aren't exaclty responsible for doing so. I'm not happy we've had 10 arrested. It's an embarrassment. I don't care if many of them are just PI or other small scrapes with the law. They are all embarrassing and I own up to that. However, I take some solace in the fact that when there are it reaches a severe threshold or there are multiple minor infractions those players have a boot put up their ass and they are removed.

Again, the question is simple. How many has Western dismissed of those 10? It's an easy question.

Perhaps, but there is no controversy with our arrested players. They are gone if there is any meat on that bone. Grooms probably lasted the longest once issues surrounding domestic violence were floating about. But they tried to get him help. Once they realized he wasn't going to change...gone. We recruit some rough kids from rough areas. If they can't be shaped into team players and standup adults, they get dismissed. I still believe it's worth trying to save these athletes from themselves where possible.

I will tell you what I will list 4 of them then you tell me how they stack up with...

The thieves and abuser that played for the muts

Allen 3 arrest (1 2013 and 2 with in a couple months of each other this past year)while at Western

charged with second-degree disorderly conduct. Allen was the passenger in a vehicle that was stopped, and he got out of the vehicle and started to walk off, according to the police report.

was cited on charges of alcohol intoxication in a public place, second-degree criminal trespassing, and menacing

charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place.

Nick Holt charges of alcohol intoxication in a public place, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct in the second degree.

Evan Sayner charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, the display or possession of a canceled or fictitious operator’s license, and being a person 18-20 possessing, purchasing or attempting to have another purchase alcohol.

Daqual Randall DIU

out of those 4 Randall is the only one not on the Western team

So we have 3 college age kids that like to drink and when they do..2 of them runs their mouth and act like they are king f'ing kong!

thieves and abuser compared to college kids drinking...OK

Now if you want to name the other 6 (which probably is only 4 since Allen has 3 of he arrest) we can go from there

Kadeem Jones was arrested on July 13 in Bowling Green for a DUI.

According to the police report, officers went to an apartment complex to investigate a loud music complaint and observed two people listening to loud music in a car. They asked the driver, Jones, to open the door, and “a very strong odor of burnt marijuana emanated from vehicle.” he report identified the person in the passenger seat as Andrew Jackson, but it’s not confirmed that’s the Andrew Jackson, aka Western’s star linebacker. The police didn’t find anything during their search of the car, but the report says Jones had “bloodshot eyes and the odor of marijuana emanating from his presence.” Jones was given a horizontal gaze nystagmus test, then refused a balance test due to having recent foot surgery, which held him out of spring practice.

RE: Marshall in Top 25, MTSU and WKU in Top 40
Thank you. Wasn't that hard was it.

However, you left this part out about Allen. Officer's statement...

"I drew my Taser and again ordered Allen to leave. He then opened his arms leaning forward taking a pugilistic stance. I believed Allen was preparing to become physical. Allen then appeared to aggressively and quickly approach me still refusing commands to stop and leave. I then deployed my Taser making contact with his upper left thigh. Allen stated he tripped and fell and was not being aggressive."

And this is was on the third arrest. Still with the team.

So, yes we had one player arrested on petty theft. And one that was abusive. Both are gone. Again, I'm not trying to compare the difference between those incidents (which are certainly not acceptable) or your player's drunken actions vs. our players drunken actions, but you are projecting plain and simple as an attempt at misdirection.

In trying to make comparisons in the differences in arrest you are glossing over the primary point I have been making all along, which is how does your leadership handle them. And actually you are helping to make my point. All of our schools are going to have incidents where these kids do stupid stuff and in some cases we will have recruited the wrong character kid. But the difference is what do with do with them following those incidents? That's the issue I have been raising.

But thanks for providing the answer to the question. Please feel free to share if you find the others.

My original post was an attempt to distract WKU and MTSU fans from going at each other. I guess I failed big time - they hate each other :)
