Mostly because you football program is horse crap right now.

You're a Temple fan? Here I thought all you had was a serious man-crush on Bob Diaco, and now you drop this info in my lap?

no, I don't care for Temple

I just think that UCONN football is horsecrap.

You don't know anything about UCONN football because no games have been played yet.

Because Villanova is a very good FCS team who has beaten us before even in years where we were pretty strong like in 2010 we beat them by only a touchdown and finished the season 8-4. In 2009 we finished 9-4 and lost to them by a field goal. They are extremely well coached and went to overtime with Syracuse last year. No offense but UConn football isn't exactly a juggernaut right now.

Well, I'd share with you my theory why you and the rest of the Temple fans on this board are picking against UCONN. However, I don't feel like spending all day on here defending myself, so I won't.

And your theory has something to do with us being kicked out of the Big East I'm going to guess. Dude I don't think you realize how badly I want UConn to beat Villanova. I HATE Villanova. By the way I always root for UConn when you're playing OOC because you guys are important to the conference especially in basketball and we need you to get back to where you were in football a couple years ago. I'm not attacking UConn I'm just giving my prediction so relax...

It's going to be Boise State in most years sadly I hope I'm wrong but it looks like the parity in the league will make us beat up on each other

I follow FCS very closely so I know how good the Wildcats are. Robertson is a ridiculously talented QB while Talley is an excellent coach. Like another Temple fan said, I despise Villanova but respect the heck out of their football program. They are easily one of the favorites for the FCS title game. I think they can beat NDSU this year.

I was at the Syracuse-Villanova game last season. The Wildcats outplayed Syracuse for 60 minutes but couldn't do the little things. Here's a pic I took a few seconds after the failed 2 pt conversion...

At least one team needs to beat their OOC foes to wrestle the Access Bowl slot away from pre-season favorite Boise St.

Our conference desperately needs a team playing in the Access Bowl.

NIU will get blown out at OSU and will likely lose at least 2 other games.
The MAC Media Preseason FB Poll has the Huskies #3 in the MAC West
behind Toledo and Western Michigan. Western plays Michigan State and Ohio State, so they are not going unbeaten. Toledo probably has the best shot of running the slate. The Rockets need to get by Arkansas in week#2 and have a favorable MAC schedule hosting NIU and WMU. Outside of losses to NIU, the Rockets have only lost 3 other MAC games in the past 5 years.

We scheduled GT and Duke fully expecting them to be crap - and they wound up BOTH coming good. That's killing us right now.

A 2-2 nonconference mark is pretty much nailed-on. Army are a giant mess, and Tulane have never lost to an FCS school in our history.

We scheduled them because they are the type of ooc opponents we like to play. Just like playing Rutgers and Syracuse etc. We have a very good chance to beat Duke.
