Seems like a lot of wasted black space. Maybe there's still some tweaking to do though, who knows.
Actually the "in-game" scoreboard design looks like it will have quite a bit more life to it. Here is a pic from the instagram of the new Asst. AD in charge of video broadcasting. Looks pretty nice to me!

The main thing I don't like about it is Pepsi on there. Pepsi? Really? What are we, EMU? Is that why they won't let us on the grass? Pepsi cans need their space to count as attendance? I don't like the taste of Pepsi.
BUT, sigh, I'll deal with it. :) It's good to have an improved scoreboard up....

I was in the food business during the era when Pepsi over took Coke in the soda wars.
Pepsi was just a much smarter company. First Coke screwed the pooch with their stupid New Coke fiasco. They didn't diversify their business enough. Pepsie had the snack and fast food wrapped up w/Frito Lay, Taco Hell and KFC. They wrapped up the young crowd with Mountain Dew, beat Coke in the bottled water and sport drink sector, beat them in franchise fountain sales and under cut them at the cash register.
Coke likely still has a bigger soda share in the world market, but not in the U.S. market.

That's crazy. I mean, Pepsi's other products are fine... but the cola.... man, Pepsi is nuts. Highly acidic (like most of any cola, on my dentist's chart of acidic stuff) which is probably part of why I don't care for the taste. It's just not as good. But since I've stayed away from pop, coke tastes good but is too sugary for me to enjoy it fully. But still good. Pepsi to me is like drinking a syrup medicine poorly converted & modified into a consumer cola.

Looking at his background I'd say he is more than just an intern. I'm glad we're actually stepping up and getting someone with some real experience instead of just doing it ourselves.

Detroit Tigers - Senior Producer, Scoreboard & In-Game Entertainment
Detroit Pistons - Director, PalaceVision

Wait, you think coke is LESS acidic than Pepsi? Every time I have a coke it feels like my insides are burning. Diet coke > diet Pepsi though. I just prefer regular Pepsi to coke, by a large margin.

I always felt both acidic, but never thought about it. Pepsi had a bad medicine-like taste that really threw me off. Then when I saw the Dentist's poster of ranking different things with various acidity levels -- yeah, Pepsi was king of all pops, way above Coke. Car batteries were on that list, too.
