Sun Belt conference expansion part 2
Here are my thoughts on expansion. Eleven is "odd". I'm all for Coastal Carolina joining the league. Fits the region, gives App. State a travel partner, and gives the Georgia teams a new rival in the league...enough said. But I'm not thru. I'd take Eastern Kentucky also as it give the Alabama boys a new rival also. Since it seems that the UAB situation has settled out without them coming to the 'Belt.
But you say that's the unlucky "13"...no in my wonderful universe I would not renew Idaho for the next year. They do not fit the region and the travel there is costly; so you are back to the nice even "12". I would keep New Mexico State as they are in the region with the Texas teams and have a decent basketball program and gives the league so exposure to the Mountain time zone.
What are your thoughts?

Agreed...I know I'm probably recently guilty of this, but in my case I actually had a new tidbit of information to discuss, not just a broad "discuss."

excellent thinking......with both eku and ccu fitting the sunbelt footprint......both make travel partners for app state and frankly for each other. Makes more sense to travel to South Carolina and Kentucky then Idaho
