Hopefully good many of season tickets are FAU fans bc I remember being season ticket holder for FIU the year they beat us. FIU attn had few butts in seats though they sold a ton of tickets. Hopefully ppl like what they see and go to all FAU games. That would be great for FAU to fill their stadium and have another good run.

Glad to hear you will be in attendance. Go Canes! I read a news article saying only a "significant portion" were, so I guess we'll have to see to be sure.
We gave you guys 4,300 tickets that's not a significant portion.

Also as for UM fans buying season tickets, FAU has a small saving grace when it comes to that.
It is the fact the the home sideline for FAU are pretty pricy tickets. It's nothing you would want to buy just for the game unless you want to drop 400 for just the game to sit in the bar side of the stadium.
I am told that side has been pretty much sold out for the season.

You underestimate just how far some fans will go. We have a TON of fans with enough money who will buy season tickets just for the one game then sell the rest at lower prices to FAU fans. Of course they probably won't donate to FAU but we do have a large portion who can and will pay $200 a ticket for an away game.

RE: UM @ FAU nearly sold out
By large fan base are you talking about the one that can't sell out a game unless there are 30k FSU or UF fans.
Or the large donars that can't buy put Golden's contract that goes till 2020.
UM has become a G-5 program that happens to be a P5 conference.

When 80 percent of your fan base couldn't find the actual campus with a map this fall from UM isn't a surprise.
UM fans down here think they are a major program, but when you take a step back you realize UM is way closer to being FAU then being BAMA or FSU.

Let me ask the other C-USA posters.
If you had to chose a program that will accomplish more over the nex 30 years are you taking UM or UCF?

It's hard to 'accomplish more' when you're trapped under an artificial glass ceiling. Ask the question again when the playing field is level.

I won't go as far in criticizint Miami as you, but I would pick UCF to do more. If UCF jumps to the Big XII, they absolutely will.

Jesus you have a strong hate for UM. I just don't get it. And I don't really care to do so. By large fan base I mean having more donors giving thousands of dollars a year than you have in season ticket sales. We play Nebraska and Clemson this year. Both of those games will be sold out or close to it. Nebraska is already almost sold out. And the Huskers aren't bringing 30,000 fans. Like it or not we are the primary force down here. UM plays and beats teams FAU would beat once in a lifetime like VT and Georgia Tech. I am a huge MT fan but that is just the cold hard facts. The players are statistically and skill-set better off, and the program has millions more than any G5 program. Over the next 30 years, who can say? UM most likely if UCF stays in their current state. Compare however you want. UCF has had more success over the last 5 years than UF, and they could keep it up considering the train wreck in Gainesville isn't much better than Golden down here.

Quite possibly the biggest sporting even in Palm Beach county history. My guess is a 70-30 split of fans with UM on the 70 side. Im hoping for 60-40 but am a realist.

Either way should be an incredibly exciting time. I just hope we dont 01-rivals the bed and get blown out.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Most of UM's fan base has never even seen the actual campus.
UM football is sinking so fast its unbelievable the rest of the big boys started recruiting heavy in South Florida during the time UM was at its peak.
The UM fans did not push hard enough to build a stadium or good faculties.
Now players like Bridgewater and Cooper leave South Florida.
UM fans seem to think because they have "swag'' It will all come back to them one day.
They cant even buy out Golden's contract through 2020 Despite him being maybe the worst coach in the country.

UM fans are like that fat old football star in his high school jacket that still thinks the girls will just come to him because of who he is.
Meanwhile nobody has pay attention to you in a decade.
