FROM MEDIA: Diaco said being questioned about how many games the Huskies would win right after it was announced that the Huskies were picked last in the AAC East Division backed him into a corner.

“I got asked a question that ‘how do you want me to answer that?’” Diaco said. “I didn’t ask that back because that was confrontational, but in my mind you are asking a competitor, you are asking somebody who devoted their whole life to football since a small child, you are asking me after investment of hours and time and blood, sweat and tears, of all the things I missed with my own kids, with my wife and everything I invested into this ‘how many games do you think you are going to win?’ How am I going to answer it? How do you want me to answer it? How do you want our team to hear it?

He acted like a rah rah grad assistant while the DC of an awful defense one of the years UC got a BCS bid.

The guy is in way over his head. I think he knows it, too.

UCONN fans....Diaco isn't the answer. We were thrilled when he left. He took a 4-3 defense, converted it to a 3-4 and it was terrible.

Sooner or later you will find out he isn't the man.

In case you were still concerned...yes, you have made your point enough times to say "I told you so" if in fact Diaco doesn't work out.

it's too early to tell on Diaco - but they aren't going to make a bowl game this year let alone go undefeated.

The Villanova game will say a lot. Villanova is a good enough FCS team (ask Syracuse) that if UConn beats them by significant points, then UConn may actually be on to something. If they lose... expect 5000 in the stadium for the Houston game.
