I don't get where this comes from. He did not rescind all the offers for the commits that were there when he got here. It was one or two guys. It's just one kid from Indiana that made a big stink of it.
A lot of those guys were Cubit guys that he took that first year.
I'm not fond of his character at this point and how he has handled things, but this narrative isn't completely true. He's turned down more Minnesota kids at this point already than he did WMU ones when he came.
Guess I thought it was much more widespread than a couple.

If (when?) we make a splash hire, I think we need to re-offer all 9 of the players that the Peej just poached. Just out of principle.

Agreed - Les Miles calling might have an impact.

RE: Official Recruiting Thread - 2017
We could use some good news on the recruiting front. Commit AJ Thomas, Ralph Holley, Derrick Hubbard and Dwayne Chapman on campus this weekend.
“I’m looking forward to the visit,” said Hubbard, saying Western tight ends coach Bill Kenney will be showing recruits around. “They’ve (coaches) been telling me to just let it play out, that they’ll have everything in place soon".

Have to look at when he committed. If it was after Brohm got there, there is no way that he is coming to Western. Brohm is a QB guy too, and can show these guys his offense is all about QB numbers.

I think Lester will be excited to see his new toys. Especially Wassink and some outstanding RB's.

RE: Official Recruiting Thread - 2017
Schedule is challenging but we will be a very capable outfit. OOC in LA will be fun, MSU should be slightly less scary than Wisconsin, sure Toledo and NIU on the road.
But we have seasoned players, some think Wassink is an upgrade from Terrell. A good, technically proficient O line. I watched many of this years games on my DVR the last couple weeks and if you want a specially treat, watch our run action in slow motion. These guys know their run blocking, it is really special. Franklin and Bogan. Bellamy back, Eskridge seasoned. Flacco and Wassink used to working with the new receivers stepping up. You got to believe Lester will upgrade the role of the tight end, the tight end reverse rollout option was his bread and butter to keep things honest.
This is no disaster waiting to happen, I don't expect much drop off. 9 win expectations. Maybe 10. Win the MAC is possible. Bowl win possible.
Lester is down with GRow. Sees his job as recruiting and service to players. He favors a run oriented balanced O. I think he will leave D to his staff. One thing I liked about Fleck was his devotion to special teams, Lester would do well to continue that approach.

Rob Hudson, a big offensive lineman out of Walled Lake has de-committed from Purdue. Would be a nice get to help offset some of the losses if we could land him.
Was hoping to hear more positive things coming from recruits this weekend. Hopefully tomorrow we will get some guys re-affirming their commitment to the Broncos.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. That's a prediction, not that the kid is going to us. Not yet. Until we see some confirmation from the kid himself that he is going to WMU, we should slow our roll.
