Being at all the home games, I've never sat through one of these, but I'm sympathetic.

NMSU signed on with Learfield Sports, so I'm assuming there will be some refinements, but exactly what remains to be seen.

Homebound Georgia State fans can be the first to play.

Cerny is a joke, I hope he is gone. Needs to stick to teaching, because he can't do.

Hated the cowbells. Reminds me of McNeese fans. (or was it SELA?) Man how easy it is to forget SLC days.

Aggie Vision is not something I would wish on anyone. AState gets to experience it this year...joy.

The actual broadcast itself wasn't TOO bad, but the announcers however.....

Also good on the writer to not have anyone drink for a Casa De Autos commercial. He'd be advocating alcohol poisoning if that were the case.

AggieVision is entertainingly bad.

My favorite moment from last years Georgia Southern game was after a punt, the camera never moved. It was as if the camera person had never seen a punt before and did not know what to expect.

I love AggieVision just because of the corny entertainment factor.

LOL.
All true. We Aggie fans not only have to watch loss after loss - but we have to put up with some pretty bad announcing for the privledge.

Though, as the writer points out, the production, except for the announcers, is student run, so we cut them some slack. I understand numerous students have gone on to employment with ESPN.

Aggie Vision is a great tool. 95% of the employees are NMSU students. It's in HD. Is it perfect? Of course not. But bashing it, is a little immature don't you think????

Reading that article reminded me of watching the 11:30 Lincoln Financial SEC game of the week. They never got the teams right that were actually playing in front of them. Didn't know the difference of Miss St and Old Miss, or LSU Tigers and the Auburn Tigers. And if it were Alabama and Arkansas playing, one wearing White over red, the other wearing red over white, they never knew who was offense or defense.

They were both named Dave, Dave Neil and some other Dave. but it was always awful broadcasting.

Not exactly the place to come for maturity.

I'm at the games so I don't watch but I have gone back to look at plays ( particularly controversial ones ).

I was really py$$ed ( you may remember this from 4 years ago ) when playing the Utags and the refs blew a spot on a fourth down Utag play that would have won the game for the Aggies.

Cerny was even questioning why the Aggies would challenge when it would have ( and should have ) won the game.

It's not an easy job to extemporaneously speak for three hours and I don't want it.

But we can do better.

Hopefully Learfield will make it happen.

You never expect a perfect student run broadcast, but as someone who graduated with a degree in the field, I can tell you that those students should be capable to put on a decent display. The big issue is the announcers, who are most certainly not students.
