MyBB UAB hoops holding its own with in-state recruiting
UAB just landed the #2 prospect in AL for 2016, even as we now battle Avery Johnson at Bama and Bruce Pearl at Auburn.

All I ask is that you watch a play at 1:41 in this video (2:21 isn't bad, either):

Some of you who have been negative about the perception of C-USA hoops lately need to understand that your coach & program have a lot to do with that perception. I encourage you to quit complaining and start believing.

Go Blazers and Go C-USA!

He's definitely not the #2 prospect in Alabama. Not sure where anybody is getting that from. He's a great pickup though.

If he signs with UAB the in state reporters will drop his ranking like a rock. ;-) If he signs with bama and Auburn his stock automatically rises...........

I talked to a local HS coach today and he thought he was easily top five in the state. Rankings are always subjective but this guy has won the state so he knows a thing or two.

Yeah he's not #2, but he is prob top 5-10 in the state.

There are only 2 state of Alabama guys even in the top 200ish in 2016 from what I've seen. Joshua Langford going to Michigan St. Reginald Todd has interest in Illinois State, Alabama, MTSU, USA, and Troy. Seems like a weaker year than normal for the state. The 2017 class will have a decent amount of 5 and 4 stars available...Hopefully we can pick one up.

The hype on this guy has a lot to do with his AAU play this summer as he's been practically unstoppable.

From the al-dot-com/Birmingham News story on the commitment. That may have just a really poorly-written attempt say he was the second-best Alabama player to make a D1 commitment so far (after the Langford kid to Michigan State).
