Thanks! I kinda want the stadium redo you guys are doing too, though. That looks super nice.

And the saying is "Make like a tree and go". Right?!?

We are about 1/3rd of the way of the fundraising front to meet the Tier II goals. Tier II is a $65 million dollar expansion/renovation of the current upper deck (demo & complete reconstruction) and a matching upper deck on the visitors side. Bringing capacity to roughly 46k.

Can you give a source for the bolded part?

I believe the last RCAF newsletter had that information. If I recall correctly it was $22,000,000 raised.

RE: UL's Athletic Complex Update
I agree that 46k is a bit much but the home side of the stadium(upper deck, press box, entrance) should definitely be a priority.

46K may be too much right
now, but you never build a stadium for right now.

True but I would rather put $ in the press box, concourse and entrance and then bowl in the NEZ and then when we need to we can upper deck the endzones too!

Ok, that says its for all student athletes. I imagine the 5k sq foot secondary room might be for football and/or MBB overflow .

RE: UL's Athletic Complex Update
great job Cajuns. Hope you do fill that expanded stadium each game. Can't wait to play you guys in Paulson. Hopefully we will reach the 10K season ticket threshold and expand our stadium too. Right now the Cajuns are tops for SBC athletic programs overall. Hoping GS can catch up and perhaps eclipse UL in the near future.

I get that. My point is if we have to cut corners on the press box, etc just to increase capacity, I would rather see less seats and more $ spent on the others. Money is ALWAYS a factor.

Capacity in the upper decks will be reduced in order to add more suites and press box area.

And some general seating is likely lost with newer standards (spacing) for access

I honestly hope we never bowl in the north endzone and give it a horseshoe look. Add ribbon boards to the facade over the new concessions and bathrooms and along the new upper decks. I believe that a capacity of 40-43,000 is perfect for our program currently and long term.
