Is the AAC trying to get a 12th Olympic sport school?

If so, who?

I know the Sunbelt is trying to get an even number of schools. I would think the AAC would feel the same way (non-football)?

Answer: No, the AAC isn't looking for another school and seems content with the current lineup. The only thing that will make the AAC add a school is a defection, IMO.

I like the current lineup. Of course we all want B12, but outside of that, this is a very nice group of schools to be associated with.

A Navy/Georgetown would be a winner!

Honestly, if the stars could align, and the only additions to the AAC could be made from G5 + Independent, it'd be BYU+Army+AFA+Georgetown / Villanova. That's some clout right there.

Agree 100%. I'm admittedly biased against mixed conferences with basketball only programs, but (or because of) there are so many lessons to be learned by our past and our predecessors.

I'm not opposed in principle to the idea of adding a 12th non-football member to the league. But the potential candidates that are worth having (VCU, for example) seem content with what they have now.

There is no reason to get to an even number in basketball.
