Personally, I like what he did with Marshall, North Texas, and Rice the best. I don't like what he did with UTSA's field at all. Our athletic teams don't use the full-bodied Roadrunner, just the head. Our alumni association uses the full body. I also don't like what he did with our end zone. Our end zone as it is now in the Alamodome looks better than what he chose for us.

I also don't appreciate the smart-ass remark he made about our conference at the beginning. At any rate, might be worth a look for some of you for a bit of amusement...

UAB and ODU were my favorites

Hey 'St.' Gregg: will you explain, and/or own up to your post about the shooting in LFT, that you made on RP? You know, the one you made at midnight, just hours after the horrific event had taken place and seven hours before the shooter's identity was known, where you posted 'Ragin Cajun' on the RP site.....to imply that it was a crazy Cajun that had done it??? Of course, we know now that the shooter was an unstable vagrant, with zero ties to our community. But even if he had been of Cajun descent, would that have made the tradegy even more amusing for you?
The loss of the two victims, the suffering of all the victims, the horrific impact that this is having on everyone involved.......and you make a snarky remark about a football program. Do you feel that you are a good representation of the ltu fan base?
The westboro protesters are saying they will picket the funerals of these two ladies. I count you in their ranks, whether you will be there physically are just in spirit.
And you won't answer the question, but you sure will take the time to give me negative points. what a guy.

After what Boise did, didn't they ban alternative color turf fields? And I figure when Boise has to a update they will be required to go back green. It's a unfair home field atvanage

He also lied about ours. He did not create that logo. That was one of two created in 1998 by the university.

In fact, our radio network has been using it since its inception. See below. You can also see it in the 1999 football media guide on page 212, so at best case what this guy is claiming and done is plagiarism .

When he said he created that logo my first thought was "I've seen that logo quite a few times since 2004".

There was an NCAA proposal that would have prohibited a teams jersey and pants from matching the field color, but it did not pass. The MWC had made that prohibition a condition of Boise's membership when they joined from the WAC. However, when Boise had accepted a membership in the AAC, and then backed out to "rejoin" the MWC, the removal of that condition was one of Boise's demand to return.

Boise owns a patent on the non-grass colored turf. They have been blessing proposals for other schools to have colored turf so long as it's not predominantly blue. They are basically protecting the blue turf field as exclusively theirs.

Not only is he guilty of plagiarism; the only human being in the state who is remotely interested in calling us "MTSU" anymore is President McPhee! End Zones should be "MT" or "Middle Tennessee" until we get the legislature to call us "The University of Middle Tennessee"!

There are a couple of other schools that do it.

Eastern Washington plays on this eye-watering monstrosity.

Central Arkansas plays on this oddly appealing rug.

There are others out there.
