RE: All Time (current team members) SBC Team Wide Receivers
Fred Barnett, Cazzy Francis, Robert Killow, JD McKissic, Julian Jones, and the 6'5 kid that Aplin threw to all the time......can't think of his name right now. These are just the ones I could think of for AstAte off the top of my head, and I can't even think of one of them!

Taylor Stockemer wasn't 6-5. Dewayne Frampton was great though. What a competitor.

He's thinking of Allen Muse, 6'4".
No, he is thinking of Stockemer. Stockemer is 6'4", had better speed than Muse, more receptions and was the guy that dominated NIU in a bowl game.

Thanks! I could not come up with those two to save my life. Just saw where Stockemer was listed at 6'4.
Did I leave anyone else out? That duo of Barnett and Francis was awesome! Just think.....they played in a wishbone offense! What would it have been like for them in an offense like the one we run today?
RE: All Time (current team members) SBC Team Wide Receivers
Congrats. Finally, a (mostly) GS fan free thread for the first time in years! You guys must be thrilled. LOL.
We've had plenty of WR that we consider great, but more at blocking and catching the occasional deep ball over the top, so they're not going to fill up the stat sheets enough to get "all-time" team consideration.

RE: All Time (current team members) SBC Team Wide Receivers
I know its a little late, but I was out of town.
Jimmy Thomas - owns career records in receiving yards (1,906) and touchdowns (20) and is second in receptions (94). In single season, he’s also 1st in yards (952) and TD’s (7), 3rd and 4th receptions (44, 35) and 2nd and 3rd in yards per reception. He was the big play target of Mike Baylor. His 219 receiving yards against then-East Texas State is the most in a single-game. All this while playing in 10 games during the '60's.
Keith Arbon – He played only one season at UTA before the program was cancelled. His 54 receptions in ’85 is the top single season mark. His 860 yards are second. He was ten receptions away from the fifth position in career receptions and 3 yards away from fifth in that category. Only UTA receiver to lead the SLC in receiving yardage.
