Been a fun tournament. US just tied Panama at 1-1 at 55th minute. US advances regardless, but great game in Kansas CIty.

The talent level has improved across the board well except for Canada.

Cyle Larin for Canada is great. I've been watching him a lot following my hometown Orlando City in the MLS. But yeah, Canada won't be winning the World Cup anytime soon.

RE: OT: CONCACAF
The US really needs to win this thing so they can play in the 2017 Confederations Cup as a warmup for the 2018 World Cup. Plus the event is just cool.

From what I understand, if they don't win the Gold Cup, they still have a chance at the Confed Cup via a playoff game with this year's GC winner. But I hope it doesn't come to that.

I wouldn't take last night as an indicator since JK was playing with lineups. But midfield play has been very poor for this team through this entire tournament. They must improve, or they will get bounced early.

Apparently, they also have to play their next game without Brooks on the back line, even though I thought the cards reset after group play.

RE: OT: CONCACAF
Apparently, the US went into last night to play a friendly and Panama was fighting for it's life. An odd rule in the Gold Cup is a team gets to call up 6 new players between the group and knockout stages. Will be interesting to see who the US calls up.

We've sucked so far in the tournament. Need to step up our game.

Was not overly impressed with our play. Liked the toughness though. The first half was really chippy- fun to watch.

Need to step it up next round. Having Dempsey back for next game may help.

Not impressed with the US effort. Poor communication on defense.

They do reset after group play. Brooks got his second yellow during group play, earning the suspension.

We have looked terrible so far this tournament. I hope we can get our crap together in the knockout round.

I tried to figure out the permutations of who we will play in the knockout stages, but my head started to hurt. I think if T&T beats Mexico, it might be Mexico.

Group A winner plays one of the third place teams, so Panama, possibly Guatemala (they play Cuba next) or El Salvador. But you are correct, Mexico may be next up at the semis if the don't beat T&T.

It's been a fun tournament so far. I would like to go to one in the future.

Did anyone see Guatemala vs. Mexico? It was a very physical game.

Usually, Mexico out physicals every team they play. This time however, Guatemala totally out physicalled Mexico.

Mexico was lucky to get out of there with a tie.
