RE: Arkansas Roll Call
Didnt follow where Temple came into this talk- is this about soccer or football because that article doesn't mention football at all.

We are working on the logistics right now. We are moving our olympic sports to a new site around/just off campus to clear space for an on campus stadium. The plan is to get it opened in the next 3 years. Will likely be around 34K-38K seats.

There isn't anything public about football. They're working on stadium designs and securing donations before releasing any plans.

Big question is, can they get out of the way?

RE: Arkansas Roll Call
So our AD tweeted out that there will be an announcement about a surprise involving this game and to be sure to get our tickets to it asap.

No idea what it is but someone hinted that it may be a high profile country music artist giving a free concert after the game but he wouldn't say who. Seems a little random. Does Toledo have any country music alums? Haha

That would be special. Hope the team gets to stay and watch. Be nice if it got broadcast back here.

Who do you think it might be?

No idea. Justin Moore plays a lot of them here since he's from here but the guy on our board said its a bigger name. Guess we'll see.

Jaimie O'Hara has some Country Grammys. He wrote hit songs for the Judd's, and songs like "The Cold Hearted Truth" for George Jones(you should watch Jaime's video of it). He had some #1's when he was with The O'Kanes. O'Hara is not an UT alum, but grew up just a few blocks from campus, was the starting flanker at Indiana University. Likewise Tom Scholz, founder of the rock band Boston, grew up not too far from University, but is a MIT grad. Scott Shriner, bassist for Weezer is a local and use to play at former campus hang-outs: Stein and Pitcher, and the Ottawa Tavern.

It would be really nice to know about this something special. I want to book my hotel soon, and thought about booking it towards home.

RE: Arkansas Roll Call
Just booked my flight and bought tickets. Kind of disappointed in the seat selection....only end-zone seats available at $55. The women that took my ticket order was from my hometown here in NJ. She said she moved to Arkansas about 25 years ago. Can't figure out how anyone would consider moving out of Joisey!

Does anyone have any info on a good hotel?

Here is some info for hotels in LR- http://www.littlerock.com/hotels/

Info about the stadium/surrounding area- http://www.wmstadium.com/stadium-info/directions

Speaking of Jersey, the Rutgers fans that came here a few years ago were some of the coolest fans I've been around. We have a player from there in Damon Mitchell. That doesn't happen too often lol

RE: Arkansas Roll Call
Thanks goHogs14 for the quick reply. We have some really good high school FB players here in NJ. Up until the time that Rutgers joined the Big 10, most decided to leave NJ. In fact, a freshman safety/CB ??? from last year's OSU team was from my hometown. It will be interesting to see whether our top players continue top leave or will now choose to stay and attend Rutgers. Looking forward to visiting Arkansas for the 1st. time.

You know "Rutgers" is just a fancy name for "New Jersey State University" or some such, right? Clever of them, disguising it in a private school name.

The US headquarters for the company I work for is in NJ. Outside of Newark, Jersey is beautiful.

Steve in NJ - Did you buy tickets through the UT office? We did, but seat location hasn't been disclosed yet.
