WEEK 1 and all the MADNESS
a weak attempt to start a non expansion thread ....
technically the new school season for all sports starts today (welcome navy!!)

a look at all the fun of week1:

Thursday September 3rd:

UCF versus FIU (cbssports)
line: UCF -16

commentary: not sure how i feel about the line, ucf doesnt blow teams out, but fiu really isnt good. The question remains does ucf rebuild or reload

Villanova versus UConn (espn3)

commentary: vill is actually a pretty good team for the fcs level, a comfortable win here will show uconn is heading in the right direction

Duke Versus Tulane (cbssports)
line: duke -16

commentary: tulane actually matched the production of duke last year, but tulane was turnover crazy...duke is rebuilding, tulane isnt playing all freshmen like last year... this could be our first statement game of the year, i think tulane at the very least covers

Game of interest:
Vandy vs WKU

commentary: would kill c-usa's momentum day1 of college football

Friday Sept. 4th:

SMU versus Baylor (ESPN):
line: baylor -33

Commentary: baylor's replacing its qb, and its OC. smu's adding a legitimate coach with a more experienced qb..does SMU have a chance?? can they atlest cover the -33 line? we will find out

Game of interest:
Boise vs Washington (ESPN)
line : Boise -12

commentary: boise is favored in everygame this year, if they win here we are going to be watching every boise game hoping they lose against teams they are favored to beat by 20. this is their best chance at losing, a loss here and every AAC team controls there own destiny and side note first meeting with there old coach.

Saturday, September 5 2015

Navy versus Colgate (cbssports)= First game as league members

Temple versus Penn state (espn)
line: PSU -5

Commentary: GAME OF THE WEEK...temple has a legitimate chance to make a huge statement national and in the state...they have the team to do it and PSU will almost surely come in overrated. this game could set the tone for the league week 1

tulsa versus fau (cbssports)
line: tulsa -6

commentary: please don't lose

ECU vs Towson (espn3)

Commentary: are the backups really better, is kurt really a better qb with a stronger arm than shane carden? we will find out

USF vs florida A&M (espn3)

commentary: 1 year of taggart, blown out by a fcs...year 2 struggles to barely beat a average fcs...year 3? this is by far the worst fcs of the 3, will usf finally beat a FCS comfortably..how will the new qb look, whether flowers or a potentially eligible asiantii

Memphis vs Missouri state (espn3)= if you enjoy blowouts with out matched opponents

Cincy vs Alabama A&M (espn3)= if you enjoy blowouts with out matched opponents

UH vs Tenn Tech (espn3)

commentary: first game with Herman how will it all look?

Sunday, September 6 2015

Marshall versus Purdue
line: Marshall -11

Commentary: another year another joke schedule..this will be top 2 hardest games for Marshall...WKU is the only team they play that you can say will make a bowl for sure...a loss here and they could come in at 12-1 and could be legitimately passed up by a 4 loss AAC/MWC team

First of all, we were second or third on the Phil Steele returnees thing. Noone is saying the backups are better than the starters.

Second of all please inform me when the BYU Boise line opens so I can bet a months salary on BYU covering that "20 point spread"

ucf didnt beat down anyone including horrible teams on your greatest team ever...

you neeedd miracles to beat memphis and temple who were both horrible that year ...ucf and oleary teams never beat down anyone but simply leave with wins

I'd take Tulane +16 in that game. Winning the game straight-up isn't completely out of the question, but admittedly doubtful.

That year Baylor (and don't tell me about that late td when the game was already decided), UConn, and Rutgers might disagree! Some people just ad lib for the sake of an argument, any argument.

Last time we played fiu was that fiesta bowl team in 2013 and we beat them 38-0 I'd consider that a beatdown. We beat temple and memphis because we were the better team. Even great teams have close calls. Thats why its so hard to go undefeated, which we didn't, but 12-1 is pretty difficult too. We lost to south carolina by 3 that year. What might have been if we had won that game.

Not to mention about 4 inches from losing to UH. Who fired their coach.

An inch or a mile. Hanging onto the football is pretty important

Now it's back to UCF fans thinking they are the greatest ever, and not admitting they needed some unlikely plays to win a certain 2-3 games this year

USF will and had better rout FAMU. Last time USF played FAMU, in 2011 I think, USF scored 70 points and could have scored 100. USF will win this game by AT LEAST 4 TD's. The talent discrepancy is so large.

I thought you'd be used to it by now. Unlikely or not, it happened. Does it really matter how unlikely they were? I mean if you wanna use that as a rationalization that we just got lucky then go ahead. The outcome is still the same. Back to Back. Sorry we have a habit of "getting lucky", deal with it.

Now its back to ECU fans misquoting UCF fans and continuing their continued fight against their self perceived disrespect.

Doesn't change the fact we almost dropped 60 on them.

No I'm not misquoting, we had a whole thread of UCF fans claiming a hail mary is not a fluke.

Doesn't change the fact that if they had Taysom Hill they wouldn't have lost by 20. Not to mention they're actually playing at home.
