Last CUSA player drafted was Will Barton from Memphis in 2012 at #40. None in 2013, 2014 or 2015.

RE: Three years
This conference has a good basketball tradition. This being the 20 year anniversary, it's good to reflect and realize we have work to do. There is still a lot of good basketball in this conference.

How big a pay cut was that, going from Memphis to the NBA?

Other than Memphis, CUSA has mostly been a wasteland for 10 years. The first couple of years we were there, UAB was strong, and other schools would hop up for a year or so. but mostly it was a 1 bid Memphis and the rest league.

Why in the world did Vince Hunter leave school after this season? He clearly did not look like the same player this season and if it was due to injury, he should have come back with a vengeance and prove what kind of player he is...

All we heard last season from UTEP fans was how all world Hunter was, after reading that for months, consider me unimpressed when I saw him in action...I am guessing NBA scouts feel the same way, he will be in the D league this upcoming season...

After hearing about him playing so well in the combine and a few of the draft tournaments, I've become more and more convinced that he made the decision to go pro a while ago and sandbagged the rest of the year after hurting his knee against you guys to not risk his stock. Just my opinion, but if that is the case, he got what he deserved.

I wish these stories would be cautionary tales for other underclassmen. Unless you're guaranteed to go in the first round and barring extenuating circumstances, it's not worth it to go pro. The second round has essentially become a dumping ground of teams drafting a bunch of Euros to stash for four years down the road.

Some guys who started out in the CUSA (Arsalan Kazemi of Rice and Joseph Young of Houston) have been drafted in that time (both for Oregon, ironically).

Who in the current CUSA is the best chance to break that streak?

It's not even just getting drafted in the first round. You really need to be top 20 to have a fighting chance.

Cliff Alexander from Kansas was a top 5 recruit a year ago and left after one season and didn't get drafted

Its a big luck of the draw on where you land and how you get used. Courtney Lee from WKU was the 24th pick I think and is now making around 5 million a year now. UK players was the big losers this year. The Harrison twins ....one went second round and the other not drafted and there was another not drafted also i think. If there is any doubt at all.........kids stay in school!

Two years.

Tony Mitchell out of North Texas was the #37 pick by Detroit in the 2013 draft. UNT basketball had yet to compete in C-USA at that time, but I'd still count it.
