Actually no, Three teams from the MWC were rated higher. Also BYU and an ivy league team were in there too.

I think well do even better next year too. Every team we had that did well this year didnt lose much. Next year I think well improve in football, basketball and soccer should return to the elite level... I also expect Womens Bball to go further and softball to be stronger.
I think we have a good chance to repeat.

But football it's just one of 20 sports they count. So just like our football team stunk, the other sports pulled thru.
Actually football and men's basketball are our only two sports that really stink the joint, unfortunately they are the two biggest ones. But I see it improving under our new AD

Mark Harlan has made a huge difference in a little over a year on the job. Different culture in the athletic department than with Woolard.

According to SB Nation, we're at #81 in points. Got to love the misfits over there.
Way to go Bulls!!!!

Dear God, if we can get our football and men's basketball in order, usf would be an athletic slam dunk for any conference. We have tremendous facilities for the Olympic sports.

Its coming. I like what Antigua is doing and we had a decent recruiting class. I think well be a better basketball team this year than last. Even football In my opinion is moving in the right direction. I really do see at least a 6-6 year.
Whats exciting is baseball will still be very solid, Soccer should be a BEAST this year, womens Basketball will go to the tourney again and I think can make a run and all of our other olympic sports that performed well didnt lose anything key.
I bet well be back of the very top of our conference for the Directors cup and move up a few places in the overall standing. I just want to be in the top 65. Thats essentially P5 land.

Our mid-season baseball collapse completely screwed us over.

Too many olympic sports and poor facilities off campus. Dropping sports and building our new olympic sports facility on campus are going to help tremendously. Focusing on soccer, field hockey, and lacrosse rather than baseball and softball will aid us in moving up. IMO, we should drop other sports like tennis so we can further allocate our resources towards soccer, field hockey, and lacrosse. We should also do whatever we can to start men's lacrosse.

RE: USF tops AAC in Director's Cup
I just find it interesting that a publicly non-flashy, relatively quiet, workhorse program whose fans are some of the most reserved in this forum has the best ranked overall athletic program in the conference. In a put-up or shut-up world, we know where the Bulls stand. I'm obviously not a Bull, but we have to respect what they have done without a great deal of fanfare.
