Asiantii Woulard back to USF?
Remember him Bull fans? Some pre-mature reports are coming out that the wheels are starting to turn for former UCLA and TWO-TIME USF commit to return back to Tampa. I thought the writing was on the wall even before Skip got fired that he was going to de-commit but used that to his advantage to get out of his commitment to USF. Not sure how I would feel about his return but I still think he's better then what we have. Thing is, he won't be eligible to play until 2016 and Taggart might not even be here then if he does transfer back. Thoughts?

My thoughts.
Not surprised, he might be back. I said it two years ago when he went to UCLA, while talented, the Bruins have talented QBs yearly and most are more experienced in the passing attack that they run that's Woulard.

I would take him, there is an outside chance that he could be declared eligible for 2015 with a waiver and USF has been good at getting those like with OT Riley Gibbons from Stanford. Worst case he sits out and competes in 2016. He is more talented passer than anyone in our roster. So I say if he wants to come, more competition is good.

We turned down Grady from Vanderbilt this year but that was a case, where he was a senior and really not a QB. Woulard is a QB.

Will be interesting to see what happens

Fine if he wants to be here. But an absolute no to all the back and forth. Either get on board or go away.

RE: Asiantii Woulard back to USF?
Woulard got caught up on his LA visit. Its easy to do. He went for the P5 offer and got beat out by a NFL draft pick and now a five star QB. He was competitive the entire time while he was there but just didnt beat out a couple very talented QBs.

I think the kid could be good. If he comes in here humble and learns the playbook then I think he could be a great addition. He was the #1 Dual threat QB of his class and hes never gotten the first reps.

Worst case scenario, he comes in and is a better backup then Bench. Best case he beats out Flowers.

on a very positive note, the reviews on Brett Kean is that he has one of the strongest arms that they have seen. Kid has REAL upside. Needs training but hes got the toolbox. With Bench, Woulard and Flowers it would give Kean a chance to redhsirt.

and btw, rumor has it that Woulard may go for a hardship waiver in order to play in 2015.

RE: Asiantii Woulard back to USF?
he to me is what usf needs.... great recruiting dont mean a thing if you dont have a qb...
usf has recruited great in everything except qb...

usf qb options have been tragic the last few years with no sign of recovery, the options so far a 4star WR, 2star psu transfer, and a 2star true freshmen..and your 2016 recruit in a lowly rated 3star ....

like a lot of great coaches have said , you arent going to win without a quarterback
a former elite 4star "Quarterback" is much needed at usf

Once a player is out of high school you can toss away the ratings. Plenty of former 4 star players look like average players. No idea about this one, but no guarantee that he looks like a 4 star when he arrives.

From reports of those reporters who have seen at UCLA he is good, just not good enough to crack starting role at UCLA but certainly at USF.
As I have said we need quality competition at the position and get needs a chance to compete for starting job. Good fit for both

if there was some way he could get eligibility usf might actually be legit...but he has to sit out a year

They'll give out a hardship waiver to anyone these days. He can tell the NCAA that his goldfish was sick and he wanted to get closer to home.

Wasn't he the #1 dual threat coming out of high school.

Get this kid a hardship now.

He might get one. Remember he hasn't played a single game for UCLA the past two years.

that wont matter, has to be a legit reason and as of last year it got harder to get..as the ncaa decided it would rather give 6th year eligibility than immidiate for most cases

Could be but AuSF has an excellent track record getting them. But even if he doesn't it will upgrade the competition for QB in future
