We stink come play for us
Badabingbong finally got a recruit with more than one offer. He's from Detroit so now they think they have a pipeline to Detroit.

So now it appears the recruiting mantra is, We stink, come play for us.

Worked for Fleck (up until this year anyway).

Central got a commit yesterday from a RB at Mt. Pleasant High. He had no other offers. Will probably play LBer.

Likely starting RB Popeye "The Sailor" Lavellie may be out for the year and their back up, Gilmore, has left the team.

According to some of the Slappies, incoming defensive back Jamil Sabaugh could be the answer at RB. "He has legs like tree stumps," said one poster.

Has to be reassuring knowing your immobile QB will have to throw on every down.

While Cooper Rush is not swift, he is not "immobile." He has enough speed to be a threat, when necessary, in short yardage situations at least. i saw Rush play several times at Lansing Catholic which uses a spread-option offense.

Of course Enos had Rush stationary in the pocket after 6-7 step drops. Stupid.

Tree stumps are generally pretty short, I don't think that's going to workout well.

Last season Rush ran for -51 yds in 46 attempts with 0 TDs and a bunch of fumbles. Not really a threat to run the FB.

Not exactly a physical trait you look for in a running back

Never was a threat. Maybe in HS, but even his "mobility" there was in question during recruiting.

Should be plus in change of coaches, but CMU lost a lot of talent. They are definitely in rebuild this SOB mode.

Big question is will CMU win@ EMU?

Tree stumps normally don't move very fast, either.
