It's the offseason. There isn't much to talk about. So I will be posting updates from Phil Steele's blog/magazine in this thread, because Phil Steele produces the only publication worth talking about.
- 2015 preseason All-America team: http://www.philsteele.com/All_Conference...rican.html
Corey Davis 4th team All-American!!
- 2015 preseason all-MAC team: http://www.wmubroncos.com/pdf9/3604517.pdf
12 Broncos named. Offense should be explosive!
- Career O-line starts returning: http://www.philsteele.com/Blogs/2015/JUN...une04.html
WMU ranked 7th in the MAC and 32nd nationally. Lots of experienced lines in the MAC this year. Toledo ranked dead last with only 4(!) career starts on their line. WMU has 81 comparatively.
- Percent of lettermen returning: http://www.philsteele.com/Blogs/2015/JUN...une05.html
WMU only has 43 returning lettermen, but we were (and still are) a very small team with room for schollies. WMU ranks 3rd in the MAC and 11th nationally in returning experience as percentage of roster.
- Preseason consensus ranking of all 128 teams :
http://www.philsteele.com/Blogs/2015/JUN...ne08A.html
This is NOT Phil Steele's list and does not take his into account. It is a compilation of 6 other publications' rankings (ESPN FPI, Lindy's, Athlon, CFN, FEI, S&P+). WMU ranks 3rd in the MAC, 81st nationally.
- Percent of offensive yards returning: http://www.philsteele.com/Blogs/2015/JUN...une09.html
WMU ranks 1st in the MAC and 4th nationally! Not surprising considering Terrell, Franklin, Davis, Braverman, Boyden and the whole gang are back. Interesting to note that there are 6 MAC teams in the top 20. Tons of experience and talent in the MAC this upcoming season. Should be a lot of fun.
