Congrats on the future Big 12 invite, Knights. This is in advance, of course.

I bet a lot of this comes from the Big 12 thinking about what to do post-Texas if that ever happens.

I never believe anything but when our monotoned, and plain-ass vanilla AD comes out of the woodwork to speak in front of fans and actually utter sentences that relate to expansion...I tend to listen.

Not to jump in the middle or defend Pony as I'm sure he doesn't need it. But, he has cited his source in the past ...not by name, but by association. Then again, it is a message board. So, TIFWIW.

Keep in mind, any realignment announcements have to be made before the end of the month, otherwise it's an entire additional academic year of interim transition

...but WVU did NOT approve it, and the other four were skeptical of Tulane developing into a winning program.

...funny thing is that Tulane has said virtually nothing regarding Big XII expansion. So much for that rumor.

Actually that was Deloss Dodds pushing for Tulane's entry after the Big 12 lost ATM......So the Tulane rumor had legs.

Yet ESPN and the Big East selected UCF (Houston and SMU too) "first and over" Memphis when BCS openings came up less than 3 years ago.
