So basically,

Its all the fans fault for not giving 17 million dollars previously. The program is coming back but there will be strict fundraising timelines to follow, and not a dime more will be invested in the program by the academic side of campus? Yeesh, it almost sounds like he's setting unreasonable goals so he can cut the program again in the future.

He sounds shocked to discover that UAB actually has fans and people that care about the program.

Mr Smith was one of my basketball coaches when I was in elementary school with his son. The same exact energy today. He's also been a longtime season ticket holder

Watts is a total shitbag. He is handicapping football before it comes back. Now they won't commit to 2016.
