Calhoun and Cal were initially interested.

But Cal kindly threw the Kuranbone to us. Keep in mind Kuran himself was caught on video saying he preferred Kentucky.

Then our Aki brought home the bacon. At the time, it was rumored that Aki's connection to Kuran was linked to our fixation on Aki.

It would be of supreme irony if Aki and Kuran were the ultimate causations of their separate treks into and out of Memphis town. One might even wonder if their connection ever manifested on a down and dirty level of causation and effect.

I saw Kuran in Vegas. He wasn't dressed out, but he looked ok. He was smiling. The music was the reason given that he couldn't be on the floor. It was said to be interfering with his head...causing pain.

And I can vouch for the fact that the music was loud, penetrative and almost never stopped. It even overlapped free throws at times.

Aki, on the other hand, wasn't there.

I always wondered if aki was milking the kidney stones because he didn't want to come back

Pretty sure it was a genuinely complicated and painful situation of some degree of seriousness, especially when surgery came into the picture.

Yes, that occurred and Aki was never coming back and his replacement as named was planned for over two months or at least a month and a half but played it out to help Aki get a job.
