Jordan Elliott commits to Houston, joining Ed Oliver in what will likely be the #1 DT recruiting class in the nation.

ESPN ranks Elliott in the Top 50. 247 ranks Elliott in the Top 40. He had offers from everybody.

I must say, I was not expecting this type of high caliber commitments so quickly.

Gotta say I appreciate our conference mates not getting annoyed off all this Htown hoorah these last couple days. I know sometimes when it's not about your team it's easy to troll, but I haven't seen much of that.

You sign or commit 2 legitimate top recruits in 2 days, you deserve to be happy. I don't see Cougar fans rubbing it in other programs' fans faces; I just see honest celebration. Congrats, well deserved. These commits should help (or require) other conference members step up our recruiting also.

Haha. I'm not sure what you're talking about here but I can certainly see some of my fellow Coogs doing that. Some can be as bit over-sensitive. I appreciate your graciousness none the less.

Why are rivals rankings so different? This guys not even in the national rankings on rivals. Same with the other guy. He was ranked much lower on rivals than anywhere else.

rivals originally down graded ed like 2 months when they reevaluated everyone, but its looks like that was the last time theyve change anyones rank besides adding new ones is February looks like they have a policy that they dont change ranks till june.. and march till june is dead period

both elliot and oliver completely dominated the open thats why espn actually moved him to a 5star, the he completely owned the Louisiana open semi finals...that was only a few weeks ago..

im curious if they both will get a boost when rivals does a rerank in june , the last one they had was signing day ..the funny thing is i read an article from rivals yesterday in which they call Elliot highly touted and elite but didn't give him the rank

but im not worried about rivals both guys had 60+ offers each, from any P5 they wanted

Sure, I would love a PAC B1G SEC invite for Houston but more so the PAC for selfish reasons quite frankly.

But in all honesty I much rather see this league get the respect as a power conference that it is and get paid what it actually deserves.

There's just to many good programs in this league, IMHO

Congrats to Houston. LSU was making a strong push for him, thought we were going to get him. Houston got a 4* RB last year, now two 4* DTs. I think it's going to be a good run with Herman leading the program. I wouldn't be surprised to see them recruiting some other good players to join them.

1 5star and a 4star .....i prefer the 3 sites that updated in recent weeks that call him a a top 20 5star than the 1 that calls him a 4star that hasnt updated in 2 months

and not to jinx anything, but 4 other elite recruits are strongly considering following and theres also another 5star DE that probably wont come but he does have us on his list of finalists, even though we aren't anywhere close to the favorite
