RE: OT: CUSA Weather Presenter Thread (What's it look like where you're at?)
Weather Presenter: Holly Green
Media: ITV Meridian Weather (Former Spotlight and Channel Islands)

Holly is a Met Office trained forecaster with an MSc in Meteorology.

After completing her studies at Reading University she spent a year training as a forecaster before heading to RAF Coningsby.

Whilst there she provided detailed forecasts and daily briefings for the aircrew of the Eurofighter Typhoons and classic World War II aircraft of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. (You have to be pretty sure of your forecasting skills to tell a room full of pilots they can't go flying!)

Holly was then offered a job with BBC Weather where she briefed the national and regional presenters before eventually making her own move in front of the camera.

Now she is delighted to be joining the Meridian team where she can use her experience to keep the region up to date with the forecast every day. Welcome Holly!

Weather in Texas is bipolar. Supposed to have a low of 35 tomorrow, and a high of 70. No wonder so many around Houston are sick these days. Can we just pick warm or cold and go with it?

Here, in South Florida, we only have two seasons: Summer and Cooler Summer. It's 54 right now, a bit up from the 52 when I woke up at 6AM ET. May be the coldest day of the year. But, since I have a cold Winter provenance, it's not impressive by my standards.

Current forecast here in Chicago for Wednesday calls for a low of -22 and a high of -13, which would make it the coldest day in Chicago since 1993. Note-- that means the wind-chill will likely be in the -50 range.

I'd suggest layers and lots of them if you are forced to go out in that.

Bipolar here too. Here in Dalton, GA. 57 and sunny today, 3-5 inches of snow predicted tomorrow with a low of 19 after a early morning rain/snow. Afternoon commute 29. Icy and dicey in North Georgia.

As of right now, it's still warm and sunny here in Savannah. The weather is supposed to do a 180 here this afternoon though. I think the temp is supposed to barely dip below freezing at some point tonight 04-cheers

In Music City, we were told "up to 3 inches of snow and single digit temps." 07-coffee3 WRONG! We got zero precipitation and it's currently 26 degrees. In Tennessee, we have all 4 seasons and sometimes it comes in the span of a week or two. Predicting 60 degrees by Saturday.
