Top 4- App, A. State, GS, UL (8-0 is likely needed- GS has a huge advantage in playing only 1 of the other 3)
Next 4- Tx. State, Troy, ULM, USA (5 conference wins should top this group)
Bottom 3- GSU, Idaho, NMSU (2 conference wins should win this group- 3 will definitely top it)
Exactly! In a year when we are rebuilding the OL, this will help.
There are so many question marks for a bunch of teams, but given the schedule, I think we have a good shot to repeat as SBC Champions.
We get a team that we know, a team that we beat pretty soundly last year. I know that they made big improvements, it will be fun to watch this rivalry build and play out back in the late season time slot it belongs in!
But given the bottom of the conference programs we are going to play, that we avoid the other 2 top four programs, Troy's rebuild, USA's chemistry experiment/reload of UAB (and we get them at home) - we could possibly even lose to APP and still be at least Co champs.
But we are going to beat App State again
USA may be the biggest conf. challange at home and outside of boone.
They've got plenty of time to work out there team chemistry before we play.
ULM played us pretty tight last year, the trip to Monroe could be a swing game for the conference.
And nobody is overlooking TX State.
I know predicting 8-0 in conference would be crazy. But looking at last year versus this year, if you had told me pre-season last year that we would do it in 2014 or 2015 and that I had to pick which year.. I'd have said 2015. What happens between now and 10/23 will be interesting.
If we can survive till then with no conference loss,
We will still have to face two big home games against TX State and USA.
I give Paulson Stadium the edge in those two!
A trip to Troy and a visit from GAST which we should win both.
Imagine our high going into the USA game, just after we knock off uga!
Hopefully our guys can stay focused that week to avoid a let down loss to the jags
