You right, everyone drools over top notch defensive tackles... Heck, even a 3* tackle is consider an impressive solid get.

He merely clicked on the site that Kronke linked immediately below the initial post. I can't imagine why either would have meant any harm. There are a lot of knuckleheads running around this board, but not in this case.

I thought Heaps was originally at Washington...his whole saga confused the crap out of my anyways.

Oh no. Heaps was BYU's "co"-starting QB as a true freshman - with Riley Nelson - who many thought was better suited for safety than QB.

Heaps had an amazing arm and fantastic throwing mechanics. Terrific practice and scrimmage player. But, he didn't impress in game action during his two seasons at BYU. IMO, he performed better (as an underclassman against a tough schedule) than most give him credit.

But, he did somewhat consistently pee his pants in the pocket and throw at receivers' feet - or 10 yards over their heads. And, he had one of the WORST plays in Holy War history - a pathetic unforced, phantom pass/fumble in the end zone on the first series of the game that the Ewetes grabbed for a touchdown...and a 10-54 loss - ouch!

Because it was the only link posted in this thread? Not to mention someone said he was a consensus 5-star and the one link about it in this thread pulled up a 4-star profile. Even if he was downgraded on Rivals that doesn't change the fact that I said it was an awesome get for Houston. Love how you left that part out. 04-cheers

Trust me, bud. There's no team in the AAC I "hate." I'm confident and proud enough of UCF and our accomplishments to have to dislike anyone. If anything, UCF is one of, if not THE most hated team in the league. Don't let that cloud what you read.

Edit: Clicked on the link and he's listed as a 4-star. Am I missing something?

I also saw that and looked at a couple of other recruiting sites. He's a 5* on the other sites that I looked at.

Even on the linked rivals site, they rank him the 55th ranked player nationally. Not sure why that would only earn 4 stars in their own rating system, but I'm not a recruiting expert.

He's a very high quality recruit regardless.

Exactly. 04-cheers

If any recruit commits to a G5 over P5 rivals immediately lowers their ranking. They awesome something must be wrong with them. So small minded people. I can't stand anything where people get down rated or looked down upon because of the people judging are ignorant.

Anyone excellent job Houston. Can't wait in a few years when all these great recruits start helping our conference. Houston, Cincinnati, East Carolina, UCF, and Memphis all beating P5 in non-conference will just make all of our rankings go up. We might get a couple of top ten teams in the next few years!

We don't like to talk about that rumor. Don't want to disrupt any back room deal making with outside waves.

first of all, welcome to the reality that every Rivals recruit that signs with a non SEC or Big Twelevten team loses a star.

second, knowing how many linemen UC has signed: [Image: giphy.gif]

Have we gotten a DT in the last half decade? Pretty sure everyone is a transitioned OL or DE, thus why our run defense was PUTRID

Oliver's teammate, 4-star DT Jordan Elliot just committed, in addition to Wooten (3 star OT) earlier this morning.

This is straight up insanity.
