im 100% sure numerous 5 star players have had g5 players as brother, in the last 20 years since the star rating came out, if its about brother or coach, many would have committed..yet houston is the only g5 to have signed A 5star in a G5 conference

Once again...not trying to poke holes at all I was just trying to get a full picture. The first thing I said was congratulations, regardless of the way that you get someone, if you get them, it means a ton. I know first hand how much family can push you to go to one school over others, I know the chance to play with my brother definitely went into my final decision of colleges.


That being said...capital letters man I kid.

It's really amazing that people don't know he's a Villanova troll.

That is literally a huge get Five Star DT are hard to come by even for the P5 elite. You see an occasional 5 Star skill player snatched by a G5 school but rarely a DT that are so highly sought after by everybody.

We never get local kids that highly rated to stay home. If he sticks Houston will have sold an extra 20 tickets for home games.

4* on rivals but still a good get. We'll see if it sticks

I also saw that and looked at a couple of other recruiting sites. He's a 5* on the other sites that I looked at.

Even on the linked rivals site, they rank him the 55th ranked player nationally. Not sure why that would only earn 4 stars in their own rating system, but I'm not a recruiting expert.

He's a very high quality recruit regardless.

rivals recently down graded him, he was a 5 star with them 2 weeks ago

but espn, 247 and scout all still have him a 5star

i find it wierd you pick the one site that had him not a 5 star ..sounds like abit of hating

We've stolen elite guys at the last second before, but I can't recall the last time we had a Spring commitment from a top 50 national player.

The gravity of Oliver's pledge might pull some other very talented Houston products our way. Very exciting.

Well this isn't good.

The AAC West is going to start getting a little bit more difficult. Tulane's road to relevance is also a bit longer as well.

The problem at most G5 schools is building adequate depth. Most G5 programs can land some good players if they can guarantee starting time.

This is a good find for Houston - and it's on the line which scares me since Tulane doesn't block well as-is.
