Why do you think USM would get bounced? Surely there are teams that are more on the bubble for an at-large bid than USM? I don't think the committee views conferences as a zero-sum game, but the fate of Southern Miss if they (or FAU) don't win the championship might be a good question for Kendall Rogers.

Maybe we get the baseball tournament in B'ham next year... the SEC tournament is already in town at the Hoover Met, but we would play at Regions Field & turn B'ham into the college baseball capital for a week... Rickwood Field could be used as a second site in the event of weather delays like Hattiesburg is experiencing.

I would expect to see the C-USA at the new minor league park in Biloxi that will be opening later this summer. Maybe not next season, but certainly in the near future.

FIU is actually playing like how we all thought they would coming into this season. This team totally underachieved throughout the season, but still has a great deal of talent. Better late than never?

Some may recall that FIU was ranked at the beginning of the season. Then they took a long nap. They may have waken up in time for the conference championship.
