RE: UAB football back?
Even if they bring it back, haven't they already killed it?

How long will it take to regain what they accomplished last season, and will they even be given the chance to rebuild.

Yes. The damage has already been done. They will be starting from scratch.

Wow. That's one weird state. I hope it works out for UAB, but they suffered a HUGE setback

They still have like 40 players enrolled, and their HC is still there....I guess that's something

Hell Charlotte is playing their first year of D1 in that conference this season so they won't be the worst.

Almost killing it or temporarily killing it is probably just as good as killing it.

Shame. They had made huge strides and even had folks at their games.

You would think that this upcoming season would be huge for them attendance wise. If not, shame on their fans.

The reality might be that if you are not in a major conference, that unless you have a nice little 12,000 - 15,000 stadium with a fanbase that will support a lower level of competiton; if you have the choice now, you might as well pack it in.

Ole Piss will make $92 million from their tv contract in the next 3 years. We will make around $10 million. Very discouraging to say the least.

Legion Field is a liability. They desperately need a new venue, but nothing over 35,000. They will face stiff opposition from the regent board if they try again even if they had lots of pledges. Only way I see it happening is if the city spearheaded a smaller dome stadium movement under the guise of upgrading the bowl game and other purposes

They need to split from the UA system and then look at damages against UA for political factors closing the program.

Bring back Battle for the Bones. We have a history with them and playing them fills the same requirements set forth in scheduling S Alabama. So do not renew S Alabama and renew with UAB.

No kidding. They wouldn't die.

Silly silly people for thinking they can't come back. Everything happens fast. They can come back but need good leadership.

Never overlook the power of the people. 54 communities passed resolutions calling on the UA trustees and the UAB administration to restore the UAB program.

Better for us if their program is defunct.
