I've been on this board for a few years now, it's become a pretty inhospitable place for UConn fans both here and especially on the realignment board. Who needs to read little digs from fans of crap athletic schools all the time?

I wouldn't have phrased this comment as harshly, but I agree with the underlying sentiment of it. The realignment board is full of P5 fans who hate UConn merely because UConn has achieved more than their schools. The fans of G5 schools over there hate UConn because their schools have also achieved nothing compared to UConn (so mocking UConn's lack of P5 status makes them feel better about themselves).

Over here, tons of fans crap on UConn due to the last few down years in football. Sure, football does "drive the bus" monetarily for power conferences, but at the G5 level the football bus is nothing more than a short bus. Hoop is the only thing that G5 schools have a fair shot in (and as we saw this year after getting slighted on NCAA tourney bids, that is even up for debate). As for fans of other AAC schools, go out and win 4 national titles (hell, just go out and win ONE in a major sport) before you crap on UConn. Naturally, UConn fans have a short fuse based on those trying to drag us down to make themselves feel better.

That is why UConn fans hide out on the Boneyard these days. Why deal with the haters.

I for one respect what UConn has done and enjoy sharing a conference with them. Some of their elitist fans I can do without however, same goes for UC.

Well he brought it up and as far as I know ECU doesn't have another active board on CSNBBS besides the AACBBS board.
