Quote:Per the NCAA a ticket given away for free (even if the recipient doesn't want it) counts as "sold".
That's insane. I can understand the concept idea, but nobody should call it Attendance. It'd be like saying "How many dates did you go on last month?" and counting the # of free offers of dates the guy's given, even if the girl didn't want to go out with him.
Older Bro: "Hey, good for you! At least you made a move and asked her out. We'll call it a date you've been on."
Whimpy Kid: "Well, isn't that a little... dishonest? She laughed in my face and said no, and walked away. "
Older Bro: "Oh, heck no! It's all about a date, so we're calling it a date. SEE?"
Whimpy Kid: "So, if a girl says No, I can still think of it as her saying Yes."
Older Bro: "Now you're catching on..."
I can understand counting as "dates" in which the girl Couldn't Make It and canceled last minute. I think that's where they're going with it. But if you ask a guy how many girls did you actually WENT on a date with and he says "1", while he claims he went out on 20 dates -- you know the other 19 aren't just last-min cancels and ya have to forgo the whole concept counting that -- or at Least labeling it something different than "# of Dates".
