RE: OT: Mad Max Fury Road
My daughter wanted to go see PP2 with friends (it was the birthday of one of them), wife wanted to see PP2 as well but didn't want the "lurking parent" effect so she reluctantly agreed to watch Mad Max ... she loved it.

Still think I will be dragged to PP2 in the near future though ... 03-weeping

I love action movies and this was full of action but nothing else. On a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 3. I actually wish I would have gone to Pitch Perfect instead.

Well I am not tired of the "comic book crud where the entire movie is following around a "hero" in a ballerina outfit and action scenes that are clearly nothing but computer generated special effects" and I still thought Mad Max was awesome!!

I've seen Fury Road twice and it was better the second time. The idea of the different tribes added depth that the previous films lacked. Buzzards are pretty cool.

I more or less agree with this.

This is what happens when football gets wussified because a few people bump their head each year. Suddenly grown ass men are talking about Pitch Perfect and their desire to see it. Don't give me the "I'm secure enough in my manhood" argument either. I'm not saying you aren't secure in your manhood. I'm saying you don't have any.

I am just saying it is one of the weakest action movies I've seen. It was worse than Star Wars Phantom Menace. I felt I over paid and that it would be a good rental from Red Box.

I don't see how you can call it a weak action movie. It's a 2 hour long post-apocalyptic car chase with guns, stunts, women & wrecks.

Never seen a Mad Max movie before but I loved Fury Road. I was so happy they didn't hold your hand throughout the movie explaining every detail. Great method of doing instead of telling when it came to the story. Loved the effects and stunts, the color was vibrant and well implemented. I give it a 9.5/10, and I'm itching to see it a second time.

A two hour car chase is boring. Give me a movie like Dark Knight any day Fury Road was a waste of my time and money.

Road Warrior a relic - one of my favs.

But I still get pissed at the direction of ThunderDome. First opening hour was epic. But then it was like the writer switched drugs. Went BarterTown to freaking weird Captain Walker crap. Like two movies really. If they would have stuck to BarterTown it could have been a really epic film.

lol what? Two totally different types of movies. Not even sure a fan of one would even want to see the other.

Saw them both back to back this afternoon. Enjoyed both.
