Hey coogie, your act is getting tired. I suggest reading the first post in this thread. Start complying or I think you'll be going bye bye. I say that based on comments about you from others over the last month that I've seen here. If most say to send you packing, you'll be gone.

Message for Topcoog

In the past you at least made a 10% effort to give the appearance of having a conversation. You're now at 100% open flaming. Knock it off, every post confirms you ride the short bus.

I see things this way...

Liberty Bowl
(#1 vs. #16)
................................Citrus Bowl
Gator Bowl
(#8 vs. #9)
..........................................................Fiesta Bowl
Holiday Bowl
(#5 vs. #12)
...............................Peach Bowl
Outback Bowl
(#4 vs. #13)
....................................................................................Orange Bowl
Sun Bowl
(#3 vs. #14)
..............................Cotton Bowl
Alamo Bowl
(#6 vs. #10)
............................................................Rose Bowl
Insight Bowl
(#7 vs. #10)
..............................Sugar Bowl
Music City Bowl
(#2 vs. #15)

Of course this bowl games would be changed on a rotationg basis. As for the other bowls, let them reward teams that have successful seasons with games just as they do now. There will be no difference.

What do you value most, the on field performance or the bowl lineup. Our Bowl lineup isnt so great at this time although its still better than any midmajor league, but you cant just overlook the on field results of the BE this past year. And maize was correct, there is a huge dropoff after the 6 power conferences.

There is not a power 6 the BE is a mid major league.

So Top Coog is now saying the Big East is a Mid Major Football and I guess Basketball league.

Like I said, your credibility is now gone as if it was not already gone.

Agreed--it used to be part of the Big Boys Bowl Club

When it moves to the Cowboys' stadium we won't ever have to worry about Houston/Notre Dame gameday conditions anymore.

The Cotton Bowl will be the fifth BCS bowl. Dallas Cowboys owner Jeery Jones always gets his way. This bowl will just be another way to show off his new crown jewel (the stadium) and make a whole lotta money in the process.

Fool, idiot and troll.

Still can't figure out why is he even on this board.

1. Coog High isn't going to the Big East.
2. Big East schools don't play Coog High.

My guess is that deep down he can't stand the fact that Coog High got left behind again in the BCS Merry Go Round.

The first time was when Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor and Texas Tech left him high and dry when they merged with the Big 8.

Now this, Louisville, Cincinnati and USF left him to join the best basketball conference in the country and a BCS Football league that has just signed it best TV Contract in it 25 year old history.

Top Boob is jeolous of the fact that every single one of Big East Basketball Conference games will be shown on either one of the ESPN Networks OR CBS.

Or he is jeolous of the fact that the Big East has 17 Guaranteed Conference Football games on either ABC/ESPN Family and a guaranteed spot on ABC Saturday Night Primetime.

You see Top Coog, only 5 of the 6 Power Conference have such an agreement with ABC and the other one has TV Primetime rights to CBS in the SEC.

That is another reason why the Big East is one of the 6 Power Leagues in College Football and the GREATEST COLLECTION of College Basketball Schools in the Country.

Cotton Bowl: Big XII vs. At Large
Sugar Bowl: SEC vs At Large
Orange Bowl: ACC vs Big East
Rose Bowl: Big Ten vs. Pac Ten
Fiesta Bowl: At Large vs At Large

Cotton: Big 12 vs At Large
Sugar; SEC vs at large
Orange: ACC vs At large
Rose: Pac 10- Big 10
Fiesta: MWC vs Big East

Much more realistic

MWC is going to have to earn it AND the Fiesta Bowl is not going to take a school that far East. You have a huge drop off from the 6 Current BCS Leagues and the MWC/WAC according to the BCS Numbers during this current reevaluation period.

Plus the Big East has a history with the Orange Bowl and has been the traditional BCS matchup in the Orange Bowl.

the drop off occurs after the power five leagues. The BE bowl line up proves that beyond any dispute.

You're right. After the Big East it's the ACC and then everyone else.

You're right, because mid-majors always finish the season with the #6, #10 and #12 teams in the country and a 5-0 bowl record! lmfao Aren't you the same guy that said the Big East had to prove it on the field? Now they have and your only comeback is "uhh, look at your bowl alignment!" lmfao

Quote:You can throw in all the childish barbs you wish or you can attempt a reasonable discusion. Either way it won't change the facts of the situation. First, Cat...the Big East is still a BCS confrence, that is correct but so is every league. The disticntion is no longer BCS and non BCS it is now auto bid and non auto bid. There is a major distinction. Any league will be able to gain an auto bid, at least in theory, and any leaue can lose an auto bid.
The beauty of this discussion is that we will soon know how it works out. You had to know the Big East was in some trouble when they stated that the league will be the host of this new bowl. The train is coming right at you....you can read the tea leaves and accept reality of you can continue to deal in childish barbs.

Quote:I don't know how you come up with that Cat's Claw. The Big East has to host the school without an auto bid. If they don't, who will?
Are you saying they are going to put Miami (o) in the Fiesta Bowl with OU when they could match them with Louisville or Pitt? Never happen.
First of all, this piggyback bowl thing has not passed yet and has considerable opposition. There is still a good chance you will see a fifth bowl, ie, Peach, Gator, Liberty etc. If that happens you guys will be the host and they ain't putting Michigan in that bowl. You are looking at Boise, Memphis , Miami etc.. They are also not going to be able to pay 14 million for that game simply because it won't be worth it. You are looking at 3 to 4 million.
At some point reality has to set in. CUSA, MWC and the Big East simply don't have the poop at this point to be able to compete with the five big confrences head up for bowls and prestige.

Quote:I can't see a Louisville vs Oklahoma Orange Bowl game. Its not going to happen. What is more likely to happen will be the Big East champ vs. the top non-BCS team. You can put your money on that happening.

Meanwhile Oklahoma gets Boise State and Louisville gets the ACC champion. The Big East also got a heck of a lot more then 3 or 4 million dollars.

God I feel sorry for C-USA fans to have him in their flock. I know they're trying to get him out of there! lmfao

Typical, Maize notes that if someone does not agree with him they must be jealous. Sounds like a man who suppoerts a midmajor leage trying to 'spin' it into a power league.

No reason to spin, only thing I posted was fact. Only 6 Football leagues have Guaranteed Primetime Saturday Night Spots on Network TV and they are the Big East, ACC, SEC, Big Ten, Pac Ten and Big XII. I don't see C-DOA, MWC, WAC, MAC or the Sunbelt.

Fact is the Big East is the Greatest Collection of Basketball Schools in NCAA History. Look at the Record Books.

Fact is the Big East did just sign it Richest TV Contract in it history and every Conference Basketball Game will be televised by either ESPN or CBS and the Big East has 17 Guaranteed Football Spots on ESPN/ABC including a Primetime Saturday Night Game on ABC.

When C-DOA signes a TV Deal worth around a Quarter of a Billion Dollars like the Big East then come back and talk to us.

BTW, I know you are a Houston Texan fan and I hope you enjoy your new 1st Round Top 10 Pick in 1st Team All Big East/2nd Team All American Louisville Amobi Okoye.

Agreed, it does sound like you, Mr. "I'm suddenly the biggest MWC supporter around". Because if there is ever a case of a mid-major league trying to spin themselves into a power league it's that conference located in the deep mountains.
