RE: UTEP lands bad ass transfer PG from Oregon....
Artis has serious game. Hopefully, @ UTEP he values his second chance and makes the most of it.
Medium risk, high reward.

Floyd was here during the 1980's when UTEP went to 5 or 6 straight NCAA tournaments. He is like the adopted son of El Paso. Unless he has multiple losing seasons, he isn't going to be fired.

Assuming you are well informed, , what about him concerns you?
I don't know anything about the guy except for what has been reported here. I'm a firm believer in second chances and am glad he is being given a second chance. I'm simply concerned that he may not last given Floyd's recent bad luck with recruits of questionable character.
That is a very fair statement.

Who are you and what did you do with Fitbuddy/Music/Chunks/Carlos/EPChiChi? I don't think you could fit them all in a car trunk. How much is the ransom?

We think he's a good addition as his signing elevated UTEP's recruiting class went from 64(?) best to 41. I'd say that's quite an improvement. The good thing is we know that he can play D1 already as he has experience and did a good job. He's not like a freshman who hasn't really shown he can play D1 ball. Besides, we have someone we can compare him to that's left UTEP due to graduation and we can see already that Artis is better, way better.
Besides that, we needed a point guard really bad.

That is the truth.
