Orlando Sentinel 2015 football countdown
http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/co...-post.html

It's that time of the year again. I know UTSA is supposed to be down but I'm shocked that they're the first CUSA team to appear.

Not me. UTSA is rebuilding. In a couple of years, they will be a contender.

ODU and FIU will be the next 2.

I actually was thinking that we (Charlotte) would be the first on the list. 03-wink

Must take in account returning starters but I do think we can beat both UTSA and Georgia State.

Kansas and Virginia as two of the four worst teams in the country? Like last year, trying to gin up interest early by putting some unexpected teams down there. Either program would win the Sun Belt or at the VERY least contend.

Charlotte should be before UTSA for sure. I'm afraid Coker isn't up to the job. He and his staff are really going to have to coach. I hope they prove me wrong, but I'm afraid UTSA is in for a long year.

RE: Orlando Sentinel #123-UTSA
I put very little stock in these orlando sentinel countdown. How am i supposed to take them seriously when they list a team in the bottom 3 that is better than at least 10 different others i know for sure would suck. Anyways back on topic UTSA slump is expected with a lot of talent graduating but what we have to make note is they have incoming FBS talent and a great recruiting ground not to mention the support they have in San Antonio they should be just fine soon. If Coker can do what he did with the classes from 2010 and 11 there's no reason to think that he can't with the incoming talent.

Considering how much senior leadership & starters we lost to graduation, being ranked 123 is not a surprise. But after watching the spring game 2 weeks ago, I can tell you that there is more talent & speed than ever before in UTSA brief history. We will struggle early. Our OOC is brutal but don't be shocked if we hold our own during conference play.

IMHO the ONLY team preview worth reading is Paul Myerberg at USA today. He at least has reasearched the teams and doesnt just slap on ranking based only on numbers. Cant wait for him to start.

I like Myerberg, but I prefer Phil Steele. He's pretty solid.

I'm not confident enough to put us in front of anyone, but you guys were terrible last year and lost a ton of players too, so it isn't crazy to think that we might be better than you.

Kansas is far from unexpected in a list like this.

Please stop acting like i went out on a limb and said we would win 6 games. If we are going win an FBS game it will be one of these.
