Crushed them year 1, shouldnt be an issue.

I've heard of blue balls, but a blue hose sounds extremely painful. 05-nono

I like Myerberg, but I prefer Phil Steele. He's pretty solid.

Steele kinda lost me when he was explaining how he gauges home field advantage by listening to crowd noise in the background on the television. While that doesn't seem too far out in left field, he also said at the same time that he's usually watching about 10 games at a time.01-wingedeagle

Please stop acting like i went out on a limb and said we would win 6 games. If we are going win an FBS game it will be one of these.

April is the month for dreaming. Soon enough November will come around and reality will set in.

Look I like the 9ers. I'm planning to make the trip but UTSA won't be losing this one. Graduating 38 FCS caliber seniors isn't necessarily a bad thing.

This year UTSA will field their most talented roster in program history.

You might want to check out Bill Connelly's previews over at SBnation. They're incredibly in-depth, from SEC down to Sun Belt.

Thanks for the link. Lots of solid info there.

This isn't basketball, Virginia is bad, real bad.

But worse than third-year Charlotte bad? Worse than never-beaten-an FBS Georgia State bad? Worse than barely-not-winless SMU bad?

I'm sure Kansas and Virginia will be at the ass end of their respective conferences (though Virginia was said to be this bad last year and nearly made a bowl game). But I reiterate: Put either of those teams in the Sun Belt, and they win it or finish near the top. And they'd be right respectable in any of the G5s.

No, not even close. They would have been middle of the pack or close to the bottom in the MWC and CUSA. There is big difference between lower tiered P5's (Kansas, Iowa State, Virginia, Wake Forest and the power programs (Oklahoma, Florida State)

I watched Tech score 34 unanswered points against Virginia in Charlottesville couple of years ago and ULM (sunbelt team) beat Wake Forest last year. There is not that much difference in athletic talent as you think with the lower tier P5's

I'm sorry, I definitely get where you're coming from in terms of how bad they are expected to be, but I have a hard time believing that, over the course of an entire season, even lowly Kansas and Virginia wouldn't be in the thick of the Sun Belt race and in at least the middle of the pack in the MWC, AAC and CUSA.

And while Louisiana-Monroe beat Wake Forest, Wake also beat Virginia Tech in the Worst Game Ever, so single games don't often tell the tale. How would Wake have done if they had, I dunno, Louisiana-Lafayette's schedule? Over the course of a season, they'd distinguish themselves in time (or just give up after a couple of early losses).

Ultimately, I can't buy that Kansas and Virginia, no matter how bad they're expected to be by P5 standards, are the worst team in CUSA or the MAC, and only better (and barely at that) than Idaho in the Sun Belt.

Wake has lost two years in a row to mid-pack ULM.

It's that time of the year again. I know UTSA is supposed to be down but I'm shocked that they're the first CUSA team to appear.

Not me. UTSA is rebuilding. In a couple of years, they will be a contender.

ODU and FIU will be the next 2.

I'm not confident enough to put us in front of anyone, but you guys were terrible last year and lost a ton of players too, so it isn't crazy to think that we might be better than you.

Sorry fellow Niners, I'm with USTA on this one. We still have a ton of guys on the roster who we recruited thinking we were going to FCS.
We are going the right way, but it will be after the 2016 season before the results start being obvious on the scoreboard.

Not so fast my ODU friend. Now at 117 and our Monarchs are not there yet. Keep the faith! (FAU at 118)

They skipped us today, have Syracuse in at at 116. I'd expect to be in the over 110 range.
