Southern Miss has had a quintessential Scott Berry season. Good enough to not look bad, but not good enough to get an at-large due to inexplicable losses.

If USM doesn't sweep Marshall and Charlotte this weekend and next, we have no chance of an at large IMO. HOWEVER, if we do manage to sweep both AND win 2 or 3 of our last 4 (at Tulane x1, at Middle Tenn x3) I like our chances of being in the at large conversation.

Would still be unlikely. Non-conference strength of schedule is around 225 and overall strength of schedule is currently around 87 and will only get worse over the next couple of weeks.

RPI will have to be 40 or under plus a trip to the conference championship game to even sniff an at-large.

We'll have to win the tournament no matter what. Very long outside shot of undefeated until championship and getting in, but even that's a stretch. Too many "what the heck" losses and extreme inconsistency.

In the latest projections they have FAU hosting, Rice traveling to Baton Rouge and Middle Tennessee listed as one of the "First Five Out".
