You'd have to think that a 30 sec clock encourages more zone. So I agree. Move it back and create more space.

Moving the 3 point line to create space seems silly to me. No one is stopping you from shooting a foot behind the 3 point line now. If you feel shooting deeper 3's helps your offense have your players spot up further away.

With all the touch and phantom fouls being called. They need to go to 6 fouls.

I think 15 seconds would be optimal.

12 seconds is plenty of time.

Paul Westhead would love it

ESPN Classic re-ran that LMU-LSU game a couple weeks ago. (Might have been the SEC Network). Staggering.

He had a great concept, just couldn't get the better players to come there. As much as players SAY the want to run and gun, they really don't want to put the work in to actually do it consistently. Plus you have the naysayers calling it AAU ball and a lot of coached worried about people saying there's no coaching involved.

The LMU - Michigan game in the 1990 tournament was the best one. Michigan was celebrating and high fiving after dunks and LMU was draining threes while they were celebrating. By the second half Michigan was exhausted.

Hopefully, they'll back up the 3pt line and start forcing coaches to become a little more creative. I don't know if reducing the shot clock makes for better basketball. I watched an old NCAA tournament game between Kentucky and Louisville from the early 1980's. There was no clock and no 3pt line and the game was played at a far higher level than what's being played now. We're getting one and done playground basketball in comparison to how the game was played 30 years ago.

In that game, how much did the players touch each other. Much less physical game back then.

that can change with the blow of a whistle.

Players were more skilled in the 1980's than they are now. Just a better game.

Overcoaching is a much bigger problem than the length of the shot clock. Coaches have way too many timeouts. Why? They get one every 4 minutes on a dead ball already. Should be 3 timeouts maximum besides that to cover injuries etc. Coaching should be done at practice, pregame and at halftime. Let the players play.
