I'll let gts take a stab at it himself but we can put you down as unable to interpret polls.

79% say better or same.

RE: Is This Thing On?
How do you count "same" in with "better"? Same is not an improvement.

Clearly no change can't be counted as a positive.

50% say it's better 50% say it's not.

Half see no improvement. Or say it's gotten worse.

You have to remove the same. We're looking for the opinion of the change to the room. 21% say it's worse and 50% say it's better.

RE: Is This Thing On?
I'm not counting same in with worse. I'm counting it as no improvement, which is correct. 50% say it's better and 50% say it isn't.

Not what the poll was looking for.
From gts:
"I suspect the majority of posters consider the new Spin Room a net improvement. Let's find out:"

50% say it's a net improvement, 50% say eh.

Because 50/50 IS 50/50. Duh.

Again

From gts:

Net improvement totals: 50%
I'll leave the rest of the ciphering up to you.

RE: Is This Thing On?
I said from the jump that while the liberals on this board would champion the change initially because they are so damn thin skinned ... they would eventually run afoul of the very same rules they championed. And they have. What do you call it when the most polarizing people on the left and the right are both unhappy? Probably a good solution.

I wouldn't necessarily call that a good solution. The righties were pushing the envelope and you guys rounded up some liberals to equal out the numbers. That the even number of bans was championed as a defense for the banning was a head scratcher too. I wouldn't categorize that as running afoul of the rules. It's more of being confused what the rules are and where the line is drawn. It was an asymmetric response with limited amount of reasoning for it. But in the end I voted that it's better now. If a pound of flesh warrants a better room. Have at it.

RE: Is This Thing On?
One of GTS's first comments was it was equal on both sides. They said they took the people that each side complained about and gave them a cooling off period for the good of the board. That's not even debatable. One thing I always wondered about though. Was ERC left off the list because you guys couldn't find another lib to balance the books? He had to get THE VAST majority of the complaints from the left so the righties were banned because they pissed off the mods. The lefties where banned because people complained about us or they didn't complain about us but we had to balance the books? Will the mods ever answer it or is it like the Joe Pesci character in Oliver Stone's JFK. It's a mystery wrapped in an enigma man......... Some things are better left off unanswered.

The answer to one of your questions is yes.

The answer to another one of your questions is no.

Hope that helps.
