The horrible part is that it is a rigged payout. It isn't based on bids or actual accomplishment. The big conf just get more regardless of what the do on the field.

6 million of the 20.7 was awarded to the MW because Boise claimed the G5 access bowl slot. The MW revenue distribution system allows the winning team to keep half the 6mil. So, Boise gets 3 million + 1/12th of the remaining 17.7 million.

Because you get something like 1 million per team.

They have 14, we had 11 (last season)

The ACC teams are only getting 4 million a piece. Figured that would be more.

Actually, UMass is still in the MAC for football until the end of the upcoming 2015 season. So, with the MAC currently at 13 teams, it means that the MAC finished dead last at 923K

I think that is not part of it. Otherwise, that'll drop the MW below CUSA in payout total.

It's included. However, the payoff must be less than the previously reported 6 million. The 1/15th share difference of the G5 performance CFP money pool (difference between being the #1 and #2 performing conference) isn't going to explain the big difference between the MW payout and the CUSA payout.

and C-USA by-laws state than if a team is expelled they are not entitled to any distributions for that year. Might be of consequence for a team I know.

Yeah, you're right. Actually I don't think they include the $2 million for the expense portion, only the $4 million payout is part of it.

It's 4 million not 6.

MW - 1.533 & SB is 1.04 (only has 11 fb schools)

$2 million went to BSU for the Access Bowl. So just for BSU itself they get $3.533 million + $2 million for expenses for a total: $5.53 million.
