Meh, nitpicking -- as if the hippie would of known any better either way. I'm of the opinion that if you run from the cops, you deserve whatever you get.

Then you have an objectively stupid opinion. We have punishments as a society that can be levied for the crime of resisting arrest, and allowing the police free reign to do whatever they want is not only dangerous, it's unconstitutional, unamerican, and just shortsighted.
The cops handled this fine, it wasn't a perfect situation, I would have really preferred that overall cops realize screaming/bringing the police dog to a person who is clearly having a psychotic break or tripping balls isn't really conducive to getting a person in that state to do what you want, but I'm splitting hairs. And good that we have the video to see what happened and to learn from it.
