Ugh, hate going 2-0 and having our RPI drop. Since South Al started their softball program this league has improved through osmosis. Now we need some other programs need to step it up.

We went 4-0 and lost 4 spaces. We followed that up by going 4-0 and losing 2 more spaces. Be glad your third game with App was rained out. It might have been enough to push you down another tick. I'm dreading our game with Southern Miss for that reason.

We have a 3 game series against North Dakota State this weekend which will help. They are 35-7 and have an RPI of 51. They play 2 games against #18 RPI Minnesota on Wednesday before coming to Mobile, so they should go back to top 50 next week. Let's hope they can beat Minnesota and the Jags can take that series against them.

According to our resident RPI guru, we probably would have dropped to #10 had we played the third game against App.
We are hoping to get all three games against Oregon in this weekend.

It's kind of wacky how you can lose games and move up in the RPI and win games and move down. I understand the emphasis on scheduling quality teams, but who would have thought USM would be so bad? Playing them this late in the year is a rpi killer. Just think if we lose.

I'm hopeful that we can get back to where we have been historically with the new clubhouse, indoor facility and third year coach. We used to be right up there with the Cajuns, going to College World Series in the beginning. Our last coach had a long tenure and finished with a .500 record. I think the combo of losing the facility-arms race and having tired-head was her downfall.

Texas State had been the class of the SLC for a decade or so. I'd expect them to get back to where they have been.

For winning two games by a grand total of 44-11, the Cajuns dropped from No. 7 to 9 in the RPI this week. For getting crushed twice, the Mountaineers’ RPI jumped 17 spots from 179 to 162.

FoUTASportscaster, I didn't realize that you had been to the WCWS. I hope you can continue to work toward getting back to Oklahoma City.
