ECU is technically above UCONN since we won the series. They have a chance to even it up or take it back later though.

Does head to head matter? It doesn't in football.

Let's say Memphis and USF end up with the same record, but Memphis took 2 of 3. Is Memphis the champ or are they co-champs?

RPIs as of tonight. Conference wise, we're still #3. 7 in the top 60 as opposed to the "7 in the top 83" that was sarcastically predicted. Looking good.

21. USF
31. Houston
33. UConn
44. Tulane
47. UCF
54. Memphis
59. ECU
185. Cincy

It's meaningless right now. I put them in order of overall record.

Tulane defeated Central Florida 10-0 today to take the weekend end series against the 15th ranked team in the nation. The ten run rule was used in the 7th inning to end the game. Tulane plays inter state rival LSU A&M this Tuesday night at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge. Roll Green Wave!

Not too excited about having to burn good pitchers against NCST and Duke with the way more important series vs UCF this weekend. Hopefully Cliff does a good job of managing it. I know our low information fans will be all in a tizzy for the Wolfpack visit and even a chance to beat Duke who has a higher RPI than NCST so technically a more important game but more fans will show up for the NCST game than Duke or the crucial weekend series vs UCF. I only wish I did not live 6hrs away because I would be in the Jungle for 5 games this week if I was even remotely close to Greenville 03-banghead

Houston at USF pairs the two highest rated RPI teams in the league. Unless it's a sweep, Houston won't lose many points for road losses at a Top 25 RPI squad. But the Coogs can gain a lot with a couple of road wins.

Throw the Sunday starter on Tuesday and the regular weekday starter on Wednesday. Sunday starter starts on Sunday with Wednesday starter being relief pitcher if needed. A 5 day rest is what you get in the bigs so it'll be a good warmup for him.

Or if you want to shrink it a bit and think the bullpen can handle any added workload that may take place, Saturday starter on Tuesday and Sunday starter on Wednesday. 4 day rest for both so it's added risk but the reward would be worth it if it pays off.

It does for conference tournament seeding. You can place whatever worth on that you want. Coaches do seem to care though.

Any conference ranking is meaningless right now. I guess if you are trying to present today's ranking the way the final ranking would be done, it matters who wins head to head. If that isn't important to you, no skin off my back.

NCSU is our biggest rival. Throw in the fact that I come into contact with State grads every day and I have a ton of friends who went to state of course that is going to be the biggest game on our schedule.

In college football would Clemson fans be more excited to play TCU than South Carolina just because TCU is ranked higher?

I wish we played NCSU in everything every year. We are more alike than they are to UNC as much as they dont want to admit it. Not to mention every game with them is a damn good time and without the best tailagtes, in raleigh and in greenville

The Wolfpeckers are in town today.

The PAIN begins at 6:30pm. Would be a huge boost to our team to a) make up for a bad loss in Raleigh, b) help RPI, and c) well I mean, they are our most hated rival.

Decent crowd at the game so far.
