In that wild 14-13 Bobcat win against the Cajuns, Ariel Ortiz had a homerun and Randi Rupp was the winning pitcher which makes her only 1 of 5 pitchers to win against the Cajuns this year

And in South's win over the Cajuns, Devin Brown got the W and Kalen McGill got the save, both freshmen. Kalen is currently 14-1 with a 1.92 ERA in 93 IP.
Some good young players in this conference.

With Cat Osterman there, the pitchers should continue to improve.

Some good young players in this conference.

Devin Brown did get the win in game 3 pitching 4 innings giving up 3 ER. It was sad to get thrown in the fire against a top 10 team with Beard being out, but she learned alot and got a win over a top 10 team that only 4 other pitchers were able to do against the Cajuns.

Cajuns Freshman Kylee Jo Trahan took the loss pitching 2.1 innings giving up 4 runs with 3 of them earned in a 8-5 loss.

Brown pitched a total of 8 innings after startling every game

We were lucky that even though our Senior pitchers, Wallace and All-American Hamilton, were hurt they were able to pitch complete games in the first 2 games or we would have probably got swept. Wallace tried to go game 3 but she lasted 2 innings before her shoulder gave out.

At least in that loss we found out that Sophmore Alex Stewart could really pitch because Hamilton is still not 100%. Stewart has been really good. Like you said, there are some good young pitchers
