Question OT: 2015 MLB Season
Opening night. Sure we have some MLB fans here based on the geography of this conference.

Who's your team and how do ya feel about the upcoming season?

Go Cardinals!

RE: OT: 2015 MLB Season
I'm a Cincinnati Reds fan. Even though I like the collective group that makes up this team, I actually don't have high expectations this year. We traded away some pitching, but really didn't address our most critical needs. We signed Byrd in left field to patch a glaring hole, but he bring a lot of strikeout with him as well and is only a one year stopgap solution. I think the NL Central this year is going to be a tough division. I think the Pirates got better, the Brewers got better, the Cubs got better, the Cards are the Cards, and the Reds probably only returned serve.

I agree with pretty much everything here. Except maybe we can stay healthy this year. If we stay healthy, we can compete.

RE: OT: 2015 MLB Season
Mets. Feel better than I have in years. We've been rebuilding the farm system then building from the farm system for years. This is the year it starts to pay off. Two of the best young pitchers in baseball with Matt Harvey and Jacob deGrom. Look for us to try to trade Dillon Gee to make room in the rotation for another young pitcher, Rafael Montero. Our best pitching prospect out of the bunch is still in the minors, Noah Syndergaard. I think this is the year he gets called up....possibly Steven Matz as well. Good staff this year gets even better next year after some of these young arms are developed...and Zach Wheeler will be coming back from Tommy John. I think we compete for a playoff spot this year and make a serious run next year.

Well my team is nowhere close to Virginia. Not a Nats fan. Let's go Red Sox!

Reds fan here.

Hope I'm wrong, but I do not expect much this year. Will probably be sellers by the trade deadline.

My Braves are attempting to be at least as good as the Astros this year.

Braves fan and the season is over now....Hope they have a lot of young talent before they move to this new stadium on the way...Braves look like the Marlins from a few years back trading everyone away..

I don't need to tell you.

Anything less than an NL Central Division Title is a let down.

Another World Series would be gravy.

RE: OT: 2015 MLB Season
I am a life-long Astros fan. I am really liking the direction the franchise is heading. The new ownership has made it a priority to revamp the entire organization, from farm system up. Through trades of veteran players 3-4 years ago and wise drafting since, they now have one of the most talented and loaded farm systems, and that talent is just now touching the parent club. Houston is young, skilled, and hungry. Plus, they have mixed in a few solid veteran players for the next few seasons. I don't think they are playoff bound just yet, but they're getting close, and will be much more challenging to LA, Oakland, Seattle, and Texas in a tough AL West this year. I'm excited for the 2015 season and the future for the organization.

Oh...and you'd better hope Atlanta is as good as Houston this year, BeliefBlazer. 04-cheers

If they stay healthy, they have as good an offensive lineup as there is in MLB. That was an issue last year.

Go Rays. Might as well bring back the purple and green because this season will be brutal.

Poor Chicago...for now.

With the Boy Wonder and Maddon in town, the Cubs are going to be a problem for us in the not too distant future.
